And it doesnt sound like the team thinks Romo is done anytime soon. Doesnt sound like a owner who is planning on drafting a QB at 4.

http://sportsday.***BANNED-URL***/d...-romo-better-supporting-cast-defense-big-part

"Candidly, I'm just counting on Tony to come back and have some of the greatest years, if not the best years, of his career," Jerry Jones said. "We want to make sure that we've got him the supporting cast. Defense, as Stephen said, is a big part of that. We tried to do it this year. We didn't get here. We'll keep trying to get it done. We got to be able to stop them."

Take what you want out of it, but it does not sound like this organization is in the frame of mind that Tony is done. In terms of QB they are thinking about improving backup QB not future QB at this point in time. And that could very well mean RG3. And in terms of if Romo gets hurt i think they could be thinking Griffin being the stop gap to the QB of the future or him being the future at QB if something would happen to Romo. Griffin is only 25.

But i like what im hearing. improve the pieces around Romo on offense and improve the defense. I am 100% on board with that.

I would rather sign Rg3 and a high impact defensive player at 4. I am not convinced that any of these qbs in the draft are elite can't miss qb prospects.

Say the same about any defensive player at #4. Can't miss prospects.

I saw A'Shawn Robinson the other day on NFLN and to be honest, I am not having second thoughts that we might be better taking him instead of a QB .. the guy looks like an instant-impact player ... Shouldn't Garret be talking to Saban about him?

Get a room...

The organization has attempted to be open as to real thoughts being considered. Like it or not, Tony Romo is the ticket to all immediate travel of the Cowboys.

The organization has stated that it will support his efforts and attempt to upgrade the defense.

Myself, I don't judge this franchise's efforts by 20 years. That's being a smuck...The Cowboys have been in the playoffs since that line in the sand. If that isn't good enough for a fan...there you go. Find a winner then. I already have one in the Cowboys!

Don't worry, there are a group of players from Alabama they will talk with Sabin about. I like Robinson also.

Exactly what he should say imo...I don't think you want the owner saying yep we are going QB at 4 thanks for the great career Tony...JJ is going to support his QB until he retires then he will offer the same support for whomever fills those shoes.

I am convinced RG3 is a can miss prospect.

the easiest thing for some people to say is jerry sux

When the people are given a reason to say something else they will. This team has sucked for 20 years, give the fantasy a rest. Nobody wants this team to suck, I promise you they don't, they just live in reality.

He's not your starting qb. He is your backup, who has had success in the NFL and better than any other backup on most rosters. The Broncos went all in to win a super bowl and it worked. Why not bolster up the defense and offense and see what we canndo. We are one season removed from 12-4

And no seasons removed from 4-12...

:(

i guess 2007, 2009, 2014 dont count for jerry right? all 3 of them yrs they had teams who could take it. the players just didnt get it done.

Jerry gets alot of flack but hes the best owner in sports. He's too loyal to his players. When other owners would backtrack on deals and cut a player out of nowhere Jerry will live with his mistakes and eat it. But not take away from the player. So maybe Jerry is just a business man but he's a honest one. When you have explayers who actually hate the teams they play for there hasnt been a player under Jerry who will not have anything but love for the man. Maybe thats not the smart thing to do for the game aspect but thats just who he is. A honest man. I know loyalty and honesty dont count for much in today's society because this world is full of liars and backstabbers, but not in VR. That means something. Might not mean anything to most but im sure it means alot to the people involved.

Straight up, tell us that you wouldn't cream in the ol' boxers for the pair: Reed and Rankins...now mess up a wet dream!

Yea but any team is going to struggle without their qb, wr, fa pass rusher, top corner all injured. This entire season has been an overreaction.

1 lucky win to show for it? I think to simply chalk it up to injury and bad luck is an under reaction.
