thread on hornfans.com says ESPN's Chris Mortenson reported league sources saying Jerry is talking to Jimmy Johnson about the Dallas job. the Report was on ESPN2

My cousins barber's mother on his sisters side said....insert rumor here.

Not ragging on you, but reading some random thread on some forum and not seeing it or having it confirmed on said board...probably means someone is pulling someone's chain.

NOT saying it is not true...but more often than not it is someone being silly and is spreads.

If Jerry can convince Jimmy to come back, I guess I'd be happy. But I'd rather sign the "next Jimmy Johnson" rather than Jimmy Johnson himself.

If Mort did say it, (which I highly doubt), it would probably be Jerry getting input from Jimmy on Norv as a HC. That would be a natural call for Jerry to make to Jimmy.

There might be some credence on getting input on candidates from Johnson, much like Parcells. But that's it.

Mort's pretty good he don't throw too much BS out there I don't think, is he right all the time No, but he's the most reliable in BSPN I think.

But I havent heard this report from him yet though.

Yeah he's better than most think. He knew about Saban and Bama in early December and everyone said he was crazy. In early December he said if Bama didn't have a HC on January 1 watch out for Nick Saban. The guy has sources. That being said I doubt he said it as if Jimmy was the target or even interested. More likely would be input on Norv.
