Jerry talks upcoming free agency

Jerry thinks spending more on one is a good thing. Now he wants to repeat that foolishness. Spend what you spend, Jerry but get more for that buck. Several high-quality veterans could have been had for what was paid for Dak. The first one I can think of is King Henry... he should be a Cowboy! DeAndre Hopkins should be a Cowboy! There were a few other veterans the FO fail to go after in trade or FA.

Putting too many eggs in one basket is a poor distribution of assets. Stop it!

Was it we are "Taking a Shot with Schotty" or was it
:We are gonna make sure Schotty gets Shot"....because giving him no help is basically leaving him out to dry...
How in the world Can Jerry and Stephen justify this. It's going to be that No Coach is going to want to come here because he is a cheap senile old man

That’d be pretty good??? Nooooo. Spending all your money on one player would be bad. Jerry has it completely opposite of the way it needs to be.
And Yet him and Stephen act like they are the Cap Gurus. lol How in the world can the Jones not know they are the laughing stock of the NFL. Never thought it could get this bad

Does anyone listen to or believe a word this drunken narcissist says?

The guy is a total scammer trying to prop up the valuation of the franchise he ruined by jawboning. It’s peak clown show in Dallas.

Yeah
Hiring all these good coaches will be completely meaningless if we don’t upgrade the roster with multiple high end players
I think Jerry likes it when we get upset at his stupidity but I agree what a moron

Great. We will sit out free agency while they ***** and moan about having to pay Micah. They will then delay that signing as long as possible so they can sit out free agency. Round and round we go.
Knowing them they will drag it out throughout camp and FA using the excuse we got to sign Micha.
God I hope they don't also Overpay OSA.

Lets be fair, the first rule of Cowboy fanship, is dont listen to Jerry.....he'll do/say anything to be relevant.

Indeed, we're in this position IN 2025 because, in part, Jerry didnt do the exact opposite of the ALL-IN, he should of taken the hit in 2024 (if he was allowing the Fowlers, Armstrong's, Hankins) and trade away the: Dlaw's, Zack, Osa and J-Lew (and wait on Dak, to see what he could do with a 'lesser' roster). Evaluate what happened, decide on a coaching set up, decide on the strategy (inc Dak) and use the aforementioned draft capital (from the above trades) to produce a team consistent and to complement the new HC's gameplan.

But of course Jerry does it backwards, based on: Must Spend, to get media attention, must be seen to be competing.

What he's just said, should of been the mantra for last season....indeed he's always a year out, the ALL-IN, was actually 2023, though he couldnt do that properly (eg no Henry).

Spending the most money on one player worked out great Jerry. I guess thats why you emphazise that move by you.

Saying that i fully understand that you want to repeat that approach. I mean what can happen? No risk involved at all.

And if there would be any kind of risk i truly believe you have the proper risk management at hand.

And if not in the end you always were a risk taker and now look at your success in football.... wait.. I mean in business.... wait, man, im sorry... yes right, i remember: your pops bailed you out more than once because you were to dumb to dig for oil in Texas! Sorry to have to remember you on that.

But anyways, sh/t happens. Good approach! Go Jerry!

Then you can expect about the same results as last year.

Why in the World is our owner being interviewed over and over at a SB that we are not involved in? He should be in hiding and focusing on trying to reverse the dumpster fire he has created, not out there trying to convince people that we are still in win now mode. Nothing is more certain than if you keep having to tell everyone you are in win now mode that you are in fact nowhere near winning anything. Just shut up and stop embarrassing yourself, your team and your fan base

I had really hoped this year would be different and I could look forward to the season. Silly me
I had zero hope for 2024. I have less hope for 2025. The only interest I have in the draft is to see how we botch it. Maybe Schotty won't get a shot in 2026. Until then, just put another year on our streak

A draft with no 4th Rd and holes everywhere.
The saddest comment I heard was when Broaddus mentioned still going for NFL ready (ish), rather than trading down and looking beyond 2025.

So in other words, and as we expected, the Cowboys are going to pay Micah a massive amount of money because Jerry thinks that is trying to win now. Then we will sit out free agency, let our own free agents leave for other teams, including division opponents, and Jerry will backfill them with cast offs and other teams' trash. Good-bye Osa, Jourdan, Chauncey and the rest. Enjoy your run to the Super Bowl playing for other teams.

Not sure where this new approach came from, but it spells doom for fans waiting to win a championship again. How do we compete with teams in our own division that are willing to do whatever it takes to improve in the offseason?
