Not exactly innovative. Disneyland has been doing this for years. Check the fine print, also, chances are they can rip your paver up in ten years and replace it with someone else's.
Where do you see that?

Not that it would matter to me.

Embrace the Hatered

The CZ users can pitch it to get it. :laugh2:

The Texas Rangers did it 14 years ago ('94) with the Ball Park in Arlington.

I haven't seen anyone say it was innovative, but pointing out the fact that Jerry is using everytool possible to make money off of the stadium.

I'm willing to bet, that Jerry will make over 1 billion dollars of the stadium before the end of the 2009 season.

I didn't see this posted yet. If it's a repost I apologize in advance. Jerry will leave no stone (pun intended) unturned to make more money. He is a very smart businessman.

SECURE YOUR PLACE IN COWBOYS HISTORY
For a limited only, purchase your paver. In 2009 a new era in the storied history of the Dallas Cowboys franchise will begin with the opening of the Cowboys new stadium. This state of the art facility will be like no other venue in the world. For a limited time we are offering you, one of our biggest fans, to become a permanent part of this truly one of a kind stadium.
Deadline to order is October 1, 2008.
On the walkway surrounding the stadium there will be designated areas where personalized brick pavers will be placed. For a limited time, we are offering our fans the opportunity to purchase these pavers and become a visible piece of the architecture of the new stadium. You can purchase a paver for yourself or your business, as a gift for a family member or friend, or to commemorate your favorite Cowboys experience.
With each paver purchase you will receive a complimentary replica paver shipped directly to your home or office (shipping is included in the price, within the continental U.S.). It will include your message inscription plus a small plaque mounted to it commemorating your contribution to the Cowboys new stadium. You will also receive a certificate of recognition from the team bearing your inscription. After installation, a paver locator map will be provided to help you find your paver at the stadium.

Limestone is a natural stone of which we have no control over color variations. The Dallas Cowboys cannot guarantee that the replica paver will be an exact color match to the paver that is installed at the stadium.

Not that it would matter to me.

I'm just using the Disney model as an example Hos (Disney does have a disclaimer stating just that. It was the reason I opted against buying one for our family). I just wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. The problem with that type of "paving" is that it has to be "re-done" more often than pouring concrete, but it's more economical for three reasons in this model.

1: Is that you don't have to tear up 10 square feet of concrete to repair one square foot of damaged area.

2: If your said "plot" needs to be repaired, your space can be re-sold to the next buyer of "a piece of Cowboys history".

3: your entire construction cost for that particular project (+ potentially millions in profit) is paid for by suckers that think they've bought into something special.

It's a nice thing to do, but I wonder about vandals destroying/tearing them.

I would imagine they won't be replaced?
