Jerry thinks adding two regular season games will make it safer

Jerry just wants to ignore that the players that matter will be playing more quarters of football and somehow they will get injured less.

Make the game safer.......LOL

Jerry, just how stupid are you, and how stupid do you think we are?

Wow.

It’s the same amount of games. Lol. Only the 2 extra for regular season will have players going all out. Not gonna save on injuries.

This writer is stupid IMO on what he suggest.
I hate the bye weeks as it is, and he wants to add another.

No way will the NFL owners will reduce the PS games by 2 games and only keep 16. The loss of revenue will not offset the injury issues.
The season ticket holders are stuck paying for that extra home game. All that would do if they reduced the games is drive up the ticket costs for them to make up for it.

Maybe what Jerry means to say is. If players are going to get injured, it may as well be in regular season games as opposed to a meaningless PS game.

And the reporter got it wrong.

If this were to occur I would like to see some added padded practices & expanded rosters.

Here's the problem with expanded rosters, which Jerry also mentions sometimes.

So, is Dak going to start 16 games, and Cooper Rush is going to start the other two. Are we going to give some games off to Elliott and Zack Martin? Are we going to have "backup" games on the schedule.

Adding more players doesn't solve anything. It just means guys that aren't good enough are suddenly on the roster, too.

With Jerry it's always about the $$$$$$

and just how is Jerry supposed to make money on this.
Maybe some extra concession sales.

Maybe the TV contracts increase. But that benefits all teams and the NFL.

But go ahead find ways to knock Jerry for being a smart business man.

And you know what? Fans will love the 2 extra games, especially if they expand the playoff format.

Why don’t they make it so the guaranteed to make it players. Starters never see the field until week 1. Only players drafted or bubble. Or if a player is vested with a certain amount of time in. They aren’t allowed to play preseason? Owners won’t ever go for that. They charge regular price for tickets. People go to see there favorite players not just drafted players. No real way of making it safer.

he is not worried about safer he is worried about how much more money he will be making

It's not the business man part that bothers me.

I don't want a GM who spends time booking events for his stadium or is following his investments in DraftKings, Papa Johns or catering.

I want a GM focused on getting the best coaches and players on the field as he can.

Increase roster size and get rid of the IR designation and boom.

Safer.

No, he spoke about this on the radio this morning. He said he had data that suggested that there are a lot more injuries during the preseason than the regular season, so if they added regular season games and played few preseason games, fewer players would get hurt.

Yes, he said this.
