My one solace I have with Jerry, being otherwise powerless unless I want to spend the rest of my life in prison, is that the one thing he covets most in all of this, respect and credit as a football man, he will never receive. He will die as the league wide joke he is now. I take great solace in that.Jerry doesn't deserve 3 Super Bowl rings.
Rockport always realized this and that's why he never stops swinging.I'll be honest with you. His response here makes me seriously reevaluate my stance.
I never thought about swinging picks with arthritis and that's on me.
Who is our Eleven??We the fans are in the upside down. Jerry is vecna. For the fans of Stranger things, you know where I'm going with this.
Hes an admiration to us all. Never give up!....Until you do and and post about it....then just deny it and tell everyone else how bad of a fan they are even though you've been wrong about basically everything the last couple years. Thats still OK though because you can just call everyone haters who disagrees with your delusional stances. Go Jerry! Go Stephen! Give Will Mclay a raise already!Rockport always realized this and that's why he never stops swinging.
Good job!!For those of you who cannot understand Jerry-speak ..
Jerry: “It reminds me of the old gold miner out in the 49er days of the gold rush of San Francisco"
Translation: "Back when we used win Super Bowls"
Jerry: "And that old broken down gold miner, he’s got a bad back"
Translation: "I shouldn't be doing this at my age and after 30 years of failures, but ..."
Jerry: "And he’s sitting out there and he’s just picking on rock, and nothing’s happening."
Translation: "I'm drafting random players every year, but nothing is working."
Jerry: "Now, from the day we’ve become involved here, we said we’re going to swing the pick. That hasn’t changed. But we’re sure not going to quit."
Translation: "No one can fire us so you have no choice."
Jerry: "And I’ll assure you that I’ve been in many things in my life"
Translation: "I got to play GM for 30 years! .. for a real NFL team!"
Jerry: "And that’s a winning football team."
Translation: "And that's a football team making money and increasing in value every year."

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on his message to Cowboys fans who are concerned that the team’s front office can’t turn this team around:
“It reminds me of the old gold miner out in the 49er days of the gold rush of San Francisco. And that old broken down gold miner, he’s got a bad back, his hands have so much arthritis from swinging that pick. And he’s sitting out there and he’s just picking on rock, and nothing’s happening. But the most sure way for nothing to happen is for him to quit picking. And so you keep swinging the pick.
“Now, from the day we’ve become involved here, we said we’re going to swing the pick. That hasn’t changed. But we’re sure not going to quit. And I’ll assure you that I’ve been in many things in my life, including times with the Cowboys, that that type of persistence breeds the kind of results our fans want. And that’s a winning football team.”

Christ Almighty...Jerry might need shock therapy. As fans, we might need it first lolWhat???![]()
