I read a nugget Bobby Belt said and I'm quoting "Jerry didn't hire me and Jerry can't fire me". Is this true.......I mean DOES JERRY OWN THE SHOW, meaning all employees work for him?
They are contracted by Jerry to be the flagship radio station for the Cowboys.
So they get the interviews from the team and players and coaches. Broadcast rights for the games.

All Jerry can do is threaten to not renew the contract.
I think something similar happened with the Ticket before they switched to the Fan.

Guys on the ticket said it was a mutual agreement to end the contract. As the station was bought out by Clear Channel and they wanted to go in a different direction.
However you could tell there was more to it. Though they would not or could not elaborate.

It’s a shame most fans on this site dont have access or too lazy to pursue it but the local media broadcasters and sport writers especially for both of our local papers bash and roast him continually but they aren’t the ones at these press conferences asking questions .

They certainly report on it. And they have been ridiculing to no end.

There you have it: He pays the media guys to put on a show. Not to do their jobs as journalists.
If you’re working directly or indirectly for the Cowboys then their jobs are compromised .

If you want to actually hear what our local sports personalities and sportswriters report you have to tune in locally or subscribe online . They won’t be interviewing him or at the press conferences .

Stephen Moore for DMN used to be a critic but then Cowboys Silver Star network hired for their weekly Sunday morning broadcast.

Same thing happened to Mickey Spagnolia after he was hired by Cowboys.

Have to go outside the Cowboys hired circle to find the true criticism. But most of it’s not free.

Raise your hand if you've ever communicated directly with Jerral Jones about the state of the franchise. (Keeps hand down)
I talked with him on a couple occasions back during his inaugural year and the early 90’s when I traveled with Cowboys Travel Club and at Training Camp once at team hotel.

But things were different with Jimmy. The vibe much more positive . But us old diehards never liked him, we just tolerated him cause we were winning.

My conversations were very short . He always appreciated my support when we had those Sunday morning before the game breakfast with an asst coach and or met the players coming into hotel as we stayed at same hotel.

And I spoke of how we felt were on right track with Jimmy congratulating him on an excellent hire. Longest talk was standing in line at gift shop in Green Bay 1989. He was buying Rolaids . We discussed about how chilly it was in October . I told him about how I had to go out and buy a heavier jacket.

I stopped traveling with the team after he fired Jimmy. But it was a great experience . I’d highly recommend to any fan wanting a closeup experience on the road.

Right. And nothing is going to change .
And this is why I don't root against our Cowboys. It makes no sense at all. NONE! Because you're right, NOTHING will change. I get it, those here who root against our team hate Dak for taking Romo's job and they hate Jerry for many reasons, including letting it happen and signing Dak to two contracts, which the last one is stupid if I want to be honest with myself. But 90 percent of our players have nothing to do with the state of our team. So WHY root against THEM? That's like me rooting against my neighborhood (which I live in) to fail because I hate the representative of my district. The inmates have taken over the asylum around here.

Because for all of Jerry's faults his one redeeming quality is how open and fair he is with the media.
Because he's created an atmosphere where they don't dare challenge him. Of course he comes off "fair and open." Clearly he's demonstrated otherwise.
