Too bad we couldn't fix Jerry's shortcomings at times. :)

We all hope the pick of T. Smith works out well for Dallas as the OL is in need of a rebuilding given age and injury and Smith can be step 1 in that process.

which are, he isn't a football guy, and he isn't knowledgeable about what it truly takes to win in this league, and he isn't liked by the fans. Thats just a few things.

I just roll my eyes at everything that comes out of this franchise these days. I think the playoff loss last year and subsequent offseason of hell finally broke me.
last 26 years have mostly been coming up short because of lack direction. The HC and QB should always be the face of the franchise, not an overindulgent owner. That sends mixed messages to the team. Makes the HC appear powerless. Until that changes, we likely wont win much.

Jerry hasn't fielded a Championship in a long time. He should have given up being the face of the franchise a long time ago. But, I'm not sure he isn't a "football guy" at this point. He play college ball at a really high level. He's owned, operated and functioned as a GM (for better or worse) an NFL franchise for over 30 years. He's in the NFL Hall of Fame (for what that's worth).

He may not be good at being a football guy, but Jerry's a football guy.

I'm 100% behind a different leadership approach. 100%. But saying that Jerry isn't a football guy seems to absolve him of any responsibility for his decision making. He IS a football guy and has had way more on the job training than anyone else would ever get. And while he has improved in many areas, he's still an upper lever GM who meddles in player's affairs and undermines his coaches despite seeing it not work for 3 decades.

True. Drafted in 2011, Tyron Smith played 16 games at RT (Doug Free was the starting LT before taking over at RT from 2012-2016) before taking over the next season as the starting LT.

I can just picture Jerry going over technique with him as Stephen lines up in front of him as a DE.
My favorite post of the day!!!

Yes, Jerry, we already knew this when we drafted him. That's why we drafted him.

Are you even capable, Jerry, of spewing anything that is not stating the obvious or really dumb thoughts such as "You don't need a good OL when you have a mobile QB"?

Can't some surgeon accidentally remove your vocal cords?
