Well, Jerry says use him as a closer. Wade says his role will not change.

Interesting. For those of you who say Jerry DOES NOT have total control of footbal decisions: Seems you were right!!! :)

Of course I guess we will truly see tomorrow...

Dude, don't you already have a thread for this? Oh, Irvin commented on all these Jerry comments, when Jerry talked about Ogletree. He said, Jerry is just repeating what he heard in staff meeting/coaches meetings.

But Jerry gives out the notion somehow he is calling the shots on who gets on field. And I always had a problem with that. He always opens his mouth way too much.

Jerry is just doing his thing. He's making up for lost time under the Parcells regimen.

No the original thread was why does Jerry do his "things." This one is showing that Jerry apparently does not make the decisions. If they need to be merged, than please feel free to do so.

His role WILL change or Jerry will change Wade's role.:laugh2:

Jerruh is setting the ground work for Wade's exit to follow quickly after our now eminent fall from the playoff hunt. Jerruh may not pick good players but can read the tea leaves, or even just glance at our schedule, and know our chances are poor.

This is all just Jerruh trying to be the big guy who knows more about football than anyone else and when Wade losses he can say "See, I told Wade to change he didn't, so we lost and he is gone!!!"

Dude, does it really matter?
I do not understand why you and others spend so much time worrying about something you have no control over. It is what it is. I do not care if Jerry's wife or grandkids makes the decisions as long as the team wins.

That's why this team continues to have no hope of late/post season success. It won't change until Jerry changes.....like that will ever happen.

Jerry's the owner, and there is not a large public groundswell for Wade to stay. There is no need for "setting the ground work." If Wade doesn't get to the playoffs, and (probably) win one game, he's history.

I don't think he is setting the ground work to convince people that Wade needs to go, most want him gone as you say. I think he is setting the ground work to show others that Jerry the GM knows all and Wade would have won if he followed Jerry advice. It is about petting Jerry's football ego. If only Wade had been wise enough to run Barber more in the 4th, as Jerry says, we would be undefeated !!!

Same logic. Jerry's ego is such that he doesn't need to explain anything. If he wakes up tomorrow believing Jamie Dukes would be the next great coach, it's done. Jerry is the GM. He doesn't need massaging on that point. He knows the only vindication he will ever receive or need is holding the next Dallas SB trophy.

I'm thinking Stephen Jones is going to be the wildcard whenever the discussion turns to coaching staff.

This is a stupid thread, imo...does anyone actually think the head coach, who is the defensive coordinator, is the one who decides who will be the starting RB??!!!

Ridiculous...Jerry shares opinions; Wade shares information; it's the offense...Jason Garrett and the RBs coach determine who will start at RB and who will go in when and play with which packages. The head coach doesn't do that for any team, unless he's the offensive coordinator calling the plays.
