Nothing like saying you are all in during the off season, make your QB and wide out the highest paid dou in the league and then crap the bed on the home opener. WOW

When most of your cap is spent on two players, all that's left over are scraps. Dislike Brady but he was never the highest-paid QB in the league.
29 years...These 2 guys or anyone else didn't have BIG contracts over those years....And whose fault is this by the way? Not Dak's or CeeDee-YOUR OWNER /GM. You should be putting your disgust on him...Plenty of ways to get around this. Every team that has a vet quarterback has the same problem...They not getting a beat down.

he signed his 2 stars, and overpaid them, and they had no impact on the game today.
he kept the same hc that gave us the GB game lol
He went "ALL IN" and did nothing in off season,
he passed on henry so he could hire back his buddy elliot.
publicly claimed he is the best GM in the world ! (for the cowboys)

now he says this, but he doesnt say how they will correct this or get better lol.
ya gotta have a answer jerry or your just blowing hot air, which is what he is doing

I luv seeing jerry bummed out in his sky booth lol

Should blown this thing up. New coach, new QB.

It still boggles the mind that Jerry was spitting vinegar and promising accountability right after the GB game and they literally DID NOTHING to hold anyone accountable.

McCarthy did not get an extension. Boom!!

We scored 1 TD and got the ball back every single time the Saints scored.
"Every single time the Saints scored"- that's the problem.

Could the defense, I don't know, maybe like force them to punt once or even twice instead? Or force a turnover before they gave up five touchdown drives in a row?

Dak could have been perfect today and Dallas still would have lost. The only difference is the score would have been closer. Maybe. Had the Cowboys offense been better the Saints wouldn't have taken their foot off the gas and probably would have hung 60 on Zimmer's defense.

What did our running game look like? And how did we do against the run?

This was once again a total team collapse. I know your angle as a rival fan is to blame everything on the quarterback.... but the quarterback and receiver 1 and 2 are the only reason we can win games within the last couple of seasons.

Did I mention the penalties? Which one of them were the quarterback's fault? We led the NFL in penalties for the last couple of seasons. Last I checked, the quarterback committed none of them.

It's a long season to go, but Jerry did the right thing by locking down a perennial top 10, All-Pro, MVP candidate. He's not elite, but he's one of the few positives we have on the team.

LOL!!!! The QB and two receivers are blamed for the only chance this team has to winning the 12 games per season. But the other guy blames the QB for lack of playoff success and it’s preposterous. Your mirror is broken.

I genuinely laughed out loud when I read his quote. Oh, Jerry.

The time to improve was in March. Deals for QB1 and WR1 should have been completed BEFORE free agency. You knew you were going to re-sign. Why posture when you were going to fold anyway? Then use that newly created cap space to sign a top tier or just below top tier free agent or two in order to address the holes exposed against the Packers in the playoffs. Then use the draft to bring in young cheap talent. They generally draft well so that would have been icing on the cake on a big offseason. One that would have said Dallas was "all in". One that would have said Dallas does believe they are "hanging around the rim."

Instead, fans got the worst offseason possibly in Dallas history. Sorry, Jerry, but the last 29 years doesn't lead us to believe you.

We have all seen this story before... Early season loss, Cowboys then get rolling and build up hype then a late season let down.

So yeah I too am confident they'll show improvement but will it get fully fixed?
