Cavanaugh actually just posted something on YouTube about value of players. Wide receivers are now getting paid 30 million a season and Cooper Kup just one a Super Bowl because of his play. I don’t think Dallas will draft a guard with the first pick unless he can actually move to tackle in a few years.

Kupp is largely an anomaly until proven otherwise.

But this franchise is stupid so I, of course, wouldn't be surprised to see them take a WR like Burks or Olave or London at 24.

they were told by the draft genius' that it would be stupid to spend another 1st Rd pick on a off lineman because nobody else has that many 1st rd picks on their off line.
those folks are now wanting us to draft an off lineman and saying how stupid it would be to spend another 1st rd pick on a WR.
think they are the same draft gurus who said you cant take an off ball LB in the 1st Rd as well.
2yrs from now...they will be clamoring to take a WR.

I liked Taco as a LDE, because I don't want our LDE to get too far up the field. That gives the QB a escape lane...and most QB's are right handed. They want to escape to the right. I also want a defensive line that is build to stop the run and that's what he was...a run stopping DE that'll get you about 5 or 6 sacks a season. Crazy enough, Tank has turned into a run stopping DE that gets about 6 sacks a season.

Taco would have been waaaaaay cheaper than Tank.

Well for starters, I doubt Burks would be the BPA at 24 as there would probably be players at other areas of need that would be similarly rated.

Two, you wonder why we always seem to have unbalanced teams? This would be a reason why - three first round picks in four years on WRs is a pretty dumb way to try to build a complete roster, especially for a Cowboys front office that refuses to use free agency to fill holes with upper level players.
