If it was a 1:1 trade of course it would be terrible, but there are 2 1st rounders and 3 to 4 other guys we'll be able to pay with the money we'd spent. Sure we could flop on the picks and pay the wrong guys, but I think it is hard to argue that Micah is worth more than 6 players plus Clark. That's the trade we are actually talking about and this defense is at least 6 players away, not 1 pass rusher no matter how good he is.

We literally went from one of the top defenses in the league to bottom feeder instantly without Micah.

In 2020 Dallas was dead last in defense. Drafted Micah, instantly ascended to a top-10 unit. Led the league in turnover margin and scoring defense for his entire tenure here, and then the moment he isn't on the field, Dallas immediately plummets to dead last.

That is not a coincidence.
