Yeah, I used to have one. Until it fell and snapped the neck. Then I put one of the pickups in a different guitar because they're so badass.

Wow. that is great, except for the neck breaking!!

Do you still have it? The real sambora kramer models from the late 80s are pretty rare.

Have you played one? I never have. I would like to play one of the recently made ones by gibsons musicyo line of kramer re-issues!

IIRC The pickups on those old Kramers were Dimarzios. I've got a set of Seymour Duncans on my Jackson that are almost untouchable, though. Absolute screamers.

Gotta be careful when buying though. There's Seymour Duncan Designed and the actual Seymour Duncans. Had to replace the originals in my Jackson Pro to the genuine article. Pissed me off a little considering I paid $750.00 for the axe to begin with. I brought it up to the sales guy and had him look up the serial number to confirm that it should have had the original pickups. He checked and sure enough the idiot (previous) owner switched em out for the cheapies. The guitar was on consignment and he told me he'd install the upgraded pickups at cost. Good enough for me!

Still rip that thing everyday.

That is what kramer did and it was there downfall. They started making all of their guitars overseas, they built them with cheap parts all around. Floyd rose II, seymour duncan design pickups etc.

I had a kramer 310 which was one of their non american made guitars when I first started learning and it was a piece of crap.

A friend of mine had an amerian made pacer and it was great. I loved the sound of that thing. I currently have a charvel model 4m sitting in the case in my closet. I havent touched it in 4 years, it needs to be setup and I am too lazy to go have that done. It is an overseas model also but built much better than the kramers of that time period.
