Jerry Jones on Wade Phillips, season

Jerry Jones once again stopped short of saying Wade Phillips would be back, when interviewed on the postgame show. He did say he would meet with Phillips tomorrow.

He said, "I'm not going to get into the staff tonight."

He added,"We had more success than generally we were expected to have. I'm proud of that."

Wow, last year after the Philly debacle he said continuity. That was worse than this even though this roster needs to win now.

He's pissed off and doesn't want to make any rash decisions.

I remember saying prior to the first playoff game that it would take a pretty bad loss for wade not to be back.

This loss might be it, but I kind of doubt it.

Wow that says a lot Jerry is mad very mad I think it has more to do with how they lose then just losing the game. If we would have lost in a tight close game then I think 100% Wade would have been back but this was another Eagles drubbing they took at the end of last year

For some reason it feels like this spells the end of Jason Garrett, not Wade Phillips.

Doesn't exactly sound like a vote of confidence.

Wade wasn't the reason the team lost today. Having said that, I don't believe anyone here would be all that broken up if he gets canned. He's a mediocre coach with good football pedigree. He's a spectacular defense coordinator.

I hope that Jerry has his secretary shredding the paperwork that would exercise Wades' option.

Its kinda surprising to me.

All though he said he doesnt want to comment on "the staff". Obviously that could mean Wade, on the other hand maybe it means other people. Or it could mean both.

I really thought Wade was a done deal to come back. Maybe Jones is having second thoughts after the way we lost.

If Wade Phillips (Jerry's buddy) isn't back next season I will be absolutely shocked. Jerry is a business man and PR guy. He knows that Cowboys fans are very unhappy today, and they don't want to hear "business as usual". I believe Phillips will be back and Jerry will do it in a short while.

Good point.

We DID!!?? Wow, we have some REALLY low expectations all of a sudden.

A couple more years of this kind of "success", and I won't be renewing a few season ticket options, trust that.

I don't think that is gonna happen but you never know.If Jerry hadn't acknowledged some concern about the o-line depth earlier in the year you might be on to something.

I can stomach an all out nail bitter where Min wins with like 1 point, but this is just embarassing...Wade should lose his job over this loss period!!!

wade is coming back and he deserves to. The whole staff does. We have a good thing going.

So the bar has now been set to "doing better than expected". Thats what you are proud off??? This is loser talk, are we now the freaking Lions or something where as long as we do better than what the preseason mags predict us to do, its all good???
