I don’t love our team as regards Super Bowl contention, but it’s undeniable we have a legit shot at getting to the big game. That is not true every year….and it has been the last 3. And what has Jerry done at the trade deadline…free agent scrapheap deals…nothing like a Chase Young or Christian McCaffrey…so what does that say about Jerry’s “belief”?

This was a huge break for the Cowboys but I am not totally surprised. I expected the Seahawks to put up 30 points against the Eagles, or more. If Geno Smith was playing maybe they would have.

But all this does is extend the inevitable. I will be shocked if the Giants or Cardinals beat the Eagles. I expect 3 blowouts to finish their season. The Giants are playing Tommy DeVito because they are trying to tank and I think even they are surprised by his success. Tyrod Taylor has a better shot at beating the Eagles. If they play DeVito against the Eagles, he will get buried. He gets sacked about 9 times a game against lesser teams. The Eagles will sack him 10 more more times easily. Jalen Carter will get 4 sacks on his own against the offensive line. If the Cowboys have to rely on Tommy DeVito to save their division hopes then they are in trouble.

But, it is important for Dallas to gain some confidence on the road. They have to beat Miami to prove to themselves they can play well on the road and win games. I don't think Miami is as physical as the Bills but they have been playing really good football lately. They have a lot of speed on offense.
