The gate/concessions at AT&T bring in almost $900M year. It's easy to get distracted and forget about winning when you have to think about what to do with all that money. They don't split those revenues with the league.
They aren't trying to build a champion. They made that clear yesterday.
They're trying to put on a good show.
every single GM in the league would have signed dak. You're ridiculous.
The only good thing about the Prescott contract is Jerry will be 82 years old at the end of it.
Well I have a suspicion that a lot of jerrys ideas that made him and the nfl billions etc, actually come from his employees, and then jerry uses those ideas,Jerry having a formula to win a championship? I honestly don’t think he has a clue. He does have a formula to make tons of cash. He knows how to do that.
Jerry’s money making skills are proven. Conversely, his lack of football championship roster building skills have given us 25 years of evidence. If we are going to win a SB while Jerral Wayne Jones still draws breath, it will most likely happen largely because of Lady Luck- not anyone named Jones.
I agree, I just don' see it happening. I am beginning to worry about Stephen tho. I hope he didn't inherit his Dad's stubborness and feel he an be the GM of the team.Jerry won't see another SB in his lifetime...someone that age and with that ego...is not going to change.
Defense no longer wins championships.
No, I don't want to hear about Tampa. That was a product of the Chiefs OL being decimated by injuries, nothing more.
i don't think dak would be too different from Dalton or Gilbert or another FA QB. The offensive system will make many QBs very productive. For those who argue differently , just look at the last 5 years , dak is not a real difference maker and the team cannot win with a bad defense. One or 2 games here and there will not reach the super bowl. If the goal is to reach the playoffs every other year, then yes Dak can do that.
not really . I know you love dak a lot , and he is younger , but the numbers don't lie . Plus we have seen him start 1-4 with a better OL last season. i doubt the win/loss last season or the season before would be of great difference. Would i sign dak ? yes/ But for 40 mil over a 3-10 mil Dalton or similar ? no .
Good grief -- that scenario is one for the books! I've seen examples of folks being flexible but that takes it to another level.------Trade for Jeff Heath and call it an offseason.
If we only had three (3) Jeff Rohrer's to plug in at LB, we could call it a day and start stacking Lombardi's.
