Accd. to Mosley's ESPN story:

"Jones even attempted to attribute the loss to the Cowboys' change in philosophy.

'That's part of the plan,' (Jerry) said. 'There's more running and less depending on the pass.'"

Did Mosley get this right?

If so, what does this mean? .... Jerry privy to a Wade and Garrett plan to cut down on Tony's mistakes by riding the running game? ... Why would he talk about this anyway and give away any change in our scheme?

It would be a bad day to test this new plan out with our top two runners gimped up anyway ...

This quote may get lost in RW's confusing excuse about 50,000 miles high and asthma and getting hit the hardest he's ever been hit in his life including Pop Warner ... Sad in itself.

I remember when local media determined that the great Tom Landry was getting a little doty, when he named "Pozderac" the starting QB at a news conference (when he meant to say "Hogeboom.") ... After that, the media would regularly call for Tom's ousting thereafter based on seeing, and hearing, what they believed was a little slippage in Tom's brainpan. They kind of rode Tom out of town ...

If Mosley's quote is accurate ... I hope the local media keeps riding Jerry's butt, he may be losing it too. Maybe Stephen will step in just to defend his dad and take the reins. The end of the JJ-as-GM problem at last. It goes back to 1992, when JJ fired his draft and pro personnel executives, in favor of Jimmy and himself. It's been downhill ever since, except for the Parcells brief upswing.

A short debacle list of recent stuff: The Reeves debacle. The Stewart debacle. The Dom Capers debacle. The RW for a 1, 3, and 6 debacle.

And has anyone noticed, under Garrett in 2008, the team scored almost 100 points less than under Sparano/Garrett in 2007? (362 vs. 455)?

Optimism: Dallas Mavericks begin play tomorrow night vs. Orlando Magic. Game locally on Ch. 21.

From Romo friendly to Romo-free. This team is going nowhere man. I just want to get a high draft pick at this point. So many holes on this team.

Of course Jerry was privy to it. Wade and Jason have to run any changes in the gameplan by the head coach, you know.

He's in denial that his team still has no quarterback.

That's why except for the Cowboys I have left the NFL behind. Following College football is much more exciting to me. Even High school. Ever notice they rarely build new stadiums for college teams. Tradition is still king!
What a great state for football...just not the NFL right now.

Don't get your hopes up. This team will be just good enough to barely miss the playoffs and then pick in the low 20's and draft the next Bobby Carpenter. The cycle is endless.

I just watched his interview and he asked if that was the hardest he's been hit? And he responded by saying yes it was, from pop warner up until 6yrs in the league. Plus being 50k miles high he was hurtin'.... It was nothing confusing about it.

And yet we called 47 passes and only 25 runs...

Jerry has lost his mind, he's becoming more delusional and Al Davis like every day :bang2:

No we had a damn good quarterback who's had his brains scrambled by inept coaching. That's fixable.

So I take it we are going to go back to the Parcells playbook of run, run, run, and then run some more and lose in the final seconds???

At least we wont get blown out this way.:bang2:

no, we follow the martz playbook of passing even when it doesnt make sense, 8 rushing plays in the second half of a close game will confirm.

If the plan is to run the ball then why did Red abandon the run in the second half of the game?

How did Jones give away anything? It was pretty obvious looking at film that we were running the ball great and were average at best throwing the ball. And why would anybody on this board be complaining if thats the case? Its what 80-90% of you people asked for.

He didnt abandon it, it just never worked...I think we had two runs in the 2nd half that gained 4+ yds

For the game, we ran it 25 times and gained only 74 yds. Thats not succesful. Denver committed to stopping the run and they did it. Choice (the healthy back) averaged a paltry 2.4yds per carry. Too many times we ran on early downs and set up long yardage passing situations.

Gonna be a long yr if Romo doesnt get right soon.

Its these types of runs that get to me...Delay handoffs and such that never had a chance or running it right up the gut..

Gow about some off tackle or sweeps.

Romo is still running the clock down to 1-2 seconds and that is bothering me also.
