Jersey numbers for draft class

Baloney. It is the front office's fault. Look at how they handled the sudden jersey change of #57 from veteran Buddy Johnson to the recently signed Jack Sanborn. Stop making excuses for this front office. We can all see what is going on.
Prove it, maybe it was at the players request.
Not making excuse. Why don’t you stop blaming them for every little thing.
Stop hating on every move.

Two players are wearing 27. Two players are wearing 7. Two players are wearing 14.

If Blue wanted 23 now he could have it. Perhaps he chose 34 himself. Why is this being turned into an issue?

When Sanborn signed he wanted 57 from Johnson and got it. Johnson, at the time, PICKED 23. He could have also had 50, 52, or 55- ALL were available at the time (pre-draft).

Why are we making it sound like Jerry and Stephen are sitting around preventing players from wearing numbers now?
:hammer:

Why don't you prove the front office isn't responsible? Look at how poorly they have handled everything in recent years.

How did the front office handle the DeMarvion Overshown jersey number changes the past 3 years?

Yeah, it's a game by the front office. Clear and obvious.
Overshown not getting zero because of Rowdy was something fans made up on social media. Rowdy is actually "00" anyway, which is an illegal number.

In terms of all the things this team has handled poorly over the years, I don't think jersey number assignments rank too highly on anyone's list. If Blue wearing 34 instead of 23 keeps us from winning games, something weird is going on.

Where is your proof that Blue refused to want jersey #23 but instead now wants #34?

I'm willing to bet he would prefer #23.

My point is he could have 23 now if he wanted it.

Shavon Revel took 27, which is also now worn by Miles Sanders. Traeshon Holden took number 7, which is also worn by Trevon Diggs. Josh Kelly took number 14, which is also worn by Markquese Bell. Is Buddy Johnson untouchable???

Why is this such an issue? :lmao:

So you can't prove Blue didn't want jersey #23 even though Buddy Johnson now wears it?

Whatever. Keep kissing up. Doesn't change what is happening and who truly is responsible.
Not kissing up at all. But if you see it that way, maybe you should take off the hate blinders.

Who am I kissing up to anyway? The FO. :lmao:
I don’t work for them. They have no idea who I am. So what good would it do anyway. Nor do I care.

Given the fact three other rookies are wearing jersey numbers already assigned to other players, this disproves the notion the front office told Blue "no" to 23. My goodness why is this so hard to grasp.....

Yeah, just like the front office DID NOT say "no" to DeMarvion Overshown to #0 the past 2 years? Correct???

Josh Kelly given Don Meredtih's number....hmmm, does not seem right.

Barron at 55 seems right.

Edit, given Morton’s number, never mind.
I hear you, but the Cowboys can't make the the numbers of every high quality player off limits. I'm thinking only Staubach and Lilly's numbers have remained unused over the years. Not sure if anyone used 12 before Staubach, but nobody could have used 74 before Lilly

Blue is not good in 34, 34 fit someone like Herschel Walker better as he was a big dude. Blue needs 23…

No numbers are "officially" retired but for the past several years nobody has been assigned 8 (Aikman), 22 (Emmitt/Hayes), 74 (Lilly), and, recently, 82 for Witten. Two players wore 12 before Staubach (QB John Roach and punter Rod Widby) but nobody has worn it in a regular season game since.
