Where do you guys see this dude going?

He has the look to me of a high end starter in the NFL. I see alot of upside with him and alot of versatility in how and where you can play.

Ive seen his stock all the way from the first to the third

He was my top target at 50 if we didn't move up for James or Fitzpatrick. Doubtful he makes it to 50 anymore but i would absolutely do what the Giants did a few years ago and trade up in the 2nd to get Bates like how Giants went and got Landon Collins.

We need LB more than S, so I'd be hoping the draft fell with me getting 1 of the top 3 LBs on my board in round 1.
Then I'd hope to target him in round 2. If he's not there, there are decent OG's and S's in rounds 2-3.

Right now, we're better at ________ than in 2017

• WR (more depth with two guys who get YAC)
• DL with a healthy Irving and Collins, a stronger, more experienced Taco
• RB with active Zeke and the drama gone
• Secondary with experienced youth who are no longer rookies who will hopefully be healthy for game 1, not to mention Jones maybe finding a better spot
• TE if Rico is ready to go and the others are healthy

Must still be addressed in FA or the draft to be better in 2018

• OL--a starting caliber OT or OG and we are much improved which means Zeke and Dak will be improved, if we are to believe our eyes from 2016
• LB--Better depth in the middle is already improved, but we need quality LBs at all spots for now and the future. I'd be surprised if we don't draft a potential starter in rounds 1 or 2 and then go there again in rounds 4 or 5.
• DT--either late in free agency or mid to late rounds, we will find another run stopper for the 1 Tech to compete with Price and Ash
• Big play, speedy, change of pace RB with quickness and hands
• DE--Lower priority right now, but we still don't have a speed rusher for the right side

Yeah, Safety is a need as well. Heath is a problem, Frazier is a situational guy, and Woods is an unknown.

I have no idea what you mean
We don't have a single starting caliber safety on the roster
1T FY, safety and LB are 1a, b and c in terms of need

I didn't know Jessie Bates from Norman Bates a few days ago. I was looking at Daniel Jeremiah's instagram and he had 5 plays on Bates with this as the description: Jessie Bates is an outstanding player. CB movement/burst, excellent awareness/ball skills and he is tough. He has pro bowl ability. Enjoy these five plays. He does this stuff in every game I have studied.


Now it is only 5 plays, but I must admit the plays are impressive showing anticipation in coverage and on running plays. He looks like exactly the type of player we need. I still think Defensive line is a huge deal but we also need probably two starting safeties...unless Woods makes a jump this year.
