Well, no big loss on the Cowboys' part. I don't think we had interest in retaining him.

Always played well in camp and preseason. Then made one or two plays
the entire season. See ya!

2 things:

1) moving to the 4-3 makes him an odd fit so it makes sense for both sides that he tests the market.

2) he's been an underrated player here and deserves a chance to start elsewhere, the Jets would be a great match.

Huh? He isn't a good fit in any defense that has average or better players at his position. He's a great fit if your OLBs suck

They can have the most overrated player in CZ history.

He's better than anything else they have at this moment at that position.

I wish him well.

I actually think he would be good to bring back as Ware's backup until a better alternative is found.

In pass rushing situations he is as productive over the past 3 seasons as anyone not named Ware on this roster.

I suspect that he might be a very effective player in Kiffen type schemes where undersized guys like Mathis have thrived at the DE spot.

I hope if the Jets sign hiim it is for a boatload of cash ala S. Bown and C. Canty and nets us back a good compensatory pick.

Weird thing is, you'd think Rex would be getting Rob's scouting report, yet Rob didn't play him a whole lot.

That would be nice.

I'd rather retain him, I think he'd benefit from the move to the 4-3.

I bet he proves every one on here wrong. This guy is a player and is just another case of poor talent evaluating by the front office. He will get 8+ sacks next year if the Jets do sign him. Rob is much better at getting all he can out of his players than his brother is.

Victor isn't big enough or a good enough athlete to be an effective 4-3 DE.

He's not fast enough to be a 4-3 OLB.

He's a bad fit on this defense.

Underrated? He's had plenty of opportunities to prove himself. He's average at best.

Jets havent shown to be astute talent evaluators draft or FA in quite a while. Wouldnt lose a seconds sleep if he goes elsewhere like much of the roster.

Someone said he got 300 snaps last season. If that is the case he was virtually invisible.

I had hopes at one time for him. Oh well.

U guys make him out to be awful because he got exposed in run support. You don't say the same things about Dwight freeney even though he proved the same thing playing as an outside backer in a 3-4 this year. Or osi umenyiora even though he is only a situational pass rusher

He's not a bad player. He's a situational pass rusher who is pretty good when given the chance. That's about all he can do. But he quite often impacts the throw when given chances to rush
