Jets-Bills game moved to Detroit on Monday night

The devastating snow storm in Buffalo will result in an extra game on Monday night this week.

The Bills and Jets will face off in Detroit on Monday at 7 p.m. ET, NFL spokesman Michael Signora announced Thursday.

"Due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday's Jets-Bills game has been rescheduled to Monday night at 7 p.m. ET and relocated to Ford Field in Detroit," the league announced.

Pretty crazy. When's the last time that happened? Last I'd heard, the Bills were offering free tickets for people to come and shovel snow....

In 2003 the NFL moved the Chargers-Dolphins game to Tempe, Arizona due to wild fires in California. In 2005 they moved all the Saints games to San Antonio and Baton Rouge except for the one "home game" they played at New York against the Giants.

I think the snow is so bad that people are having trouble making it to the stadium in Buffalo to shovel the snow. It would be fun to see a team play in that much snow, but it is just not safe conditions for the city.

My son asked how long the drive was because he wanted to go. I told him we were staying home and watching the Cowboys. "Oh yeah I forgot." Kids, all he heard was FREE.
