Jets board what they think

IMO Revis can be got hakeem nicks did a pretty good job when he went against him in the preseason game.

They Can't stop D-Ware... I don't care who they put on him.

Romo is a million times better than sanchez.... Any qb can throw picks when under pressure that's common ****ing sense ( look at manning last year, 11 picks in 3 games)

Holmes does not scare me 1 bit... might be a top 20 rec. at best

Cro can't hold dez even if his 20 kids depended on it.

No team has an answer for witten.

Plax looks like total ****. BRAYLON > PLAX anyday twice on sunday!!

Final Score:
Dal - 24
Nyj - 10

Statistically he might not be all that but the guy just makes plays, we should be worried about him specially with our secondary

I actually think the emotions of 9/11 could work against them

How many of their players were in the NFL 10 years ago? How many of them are from the New York area?

The effect on the players should be equal among both squads. The fans might be off the chain, but go back and watch that Buffalo game in 2007 and tell me they weren't reliving their Super Bowl years against us that Monday night. Same with the fans in New Orleans in 2009.

We've played in, and won in, more hostile venues than the open air Costco warehouse wannabe stadium we'll be playing in on Sunday night.

I hope we don't "match emotions" and we just come out and play football The Cowboy Way.

You forgot our very young and inexperienced O-Line. The biggest single factor in our wins/losses. 1st game of the season in that atmosphere?.............HUGE.

Not trying to be the cog BUT reality is reality.

I do think we have a professor at the helm and I am confident in the season, overall.

Hope that dude is wrong about Romo throwing "hideous picks" while scrambling.

Someone said Romo has tunnel vision. That is definitely one thing I wouldn't use to describe Romo.

Games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage. It will definitely be the case in this game too. If we can win the battle for the line of scrimmage, we will win this game.

This should be very telling of of what to expect from our oline. Granted they will improve, but the last DCs you want to face with a young inexperienced oline is either of the Ryan brothers, Dick LeBeau, Jim Johnson (RIP), or any other extremely aggressive defensive coordinators.

One thing I noticed is that its a board for adults not disneyland like this one lol

Why would it. None of the players there where even on a NY team when that happen. (that I can think of as even Plaxico was in Pittsburgh) I seriously doubt it has anymore effect on the Jets play than it has on the Cowboys play.

What if Washington was playing the Jets? (ie, Pentagon)

And by that, we mean the Garrett/Rob Ryan way, not the Wade Phillips way.

Yeah, this game will be the toughest by far before our bye week. Make no bones about it, there is someone in their dressing room that was very affected, and will convey it to their teamates.

I just want us to get to the 4th quarter with a chance to win it.

Dude, you should totally post over there some more!

Re: 9/11, anyone else bugged by the suggestion it'll fire them up more than it fires us up? We're all Americans. It's not like NY is the good guys and we're the bad guys. It's just an honor we were selected by the league to play this particular game in NY on this particular day.

Exactly. But they have home field advantage and it will be a very strange atmosphere.

I think the point is more that the home fan base is going to be crazy. I doubt players on either team are going to think much about 9/11 after kickoff (a lot of these guys were kids when it happened anwyay), but the environment is probably going to be extremely hostile for a visiting team.

It'll be like a mini-playoff game in terms of atmosphere. I just don't think the 9/11 stuff gives them a particular advantage. Their advantages are they have a better team, and they're at home. :)

Its not in NY

... north jersey is basically a suburb of nyc ...

... the fact that so many fans, media, coaches, staff, etc. were directly effected by the trajedy is what makes it more on the minds & tongue of the ny area teams ...

... that is a good board for jets fans ... here are two more ...

www.jetnation.com

www.jetsinsider.com

... as an earlier poster stated ... plenty of guys wanting to have good football talk with our opponents ... a couple homers mixed in who are easy enough to ignore ...

... i hope the jets challenge your depleted secondary a couple times early ... but expect the focus mostly to be running shonn greene ...

... cowboys on offense will be interesting to see if your young o-linemen consistently pick up the blitz packages ... that likely will determine the victor ...

... good luck & no injuries ...

:) Jets fan here in Long Island.... Most calling for low scoring game with Jets coming out ahead by 3.
Night Game at home, 9/11 tributes, the fly over should provide the juice to get it done. Good luck and hope nobody gets hurt.
PS..You have cool uniforms.

Thanks. So what's the mood there in NY re the SB this year?
