There's a member here who has serious issues. Every pro-Dak thread he's allowed to turn it upside down and gets it shutdown. Y'all should be getting suspicious as to why already. Second post is always his. It's like clockwork. The poor dude has no life. Can anyone go by his house on Kensington Ave and give him a hug? The poor guy needs one. I would but he likes to make fun of my all-time favorite band too much. :D

I think the Jet DC will do what every team with a good defense does. Rush four, drop seven, and take their chances.

Bucs didn’t belong at all. Worked out great for the 49ers
Bucs didn't belong? Almost 80% in 2022 were still the same Bucs team who had won a Super Bowl two seasons ago in 2020 and still had a Top 10 defense in 2022 suddenly didn't belong? You might want to get your facts straightened out.

He most likely will this Sunday if Brandin Cooks can't play and the Cowboys offense is stuck with the same receivers they were stuck with last year. No speed. That certainly works to any opposing Defense's advantage. Nothing new to learn or understand here. Football 101. Even Saturday afternoon neighborhood football 101 common knowledge.

Bucs record was 9-8 right or was it 8-9?

Does it matter?

They were hosting a playoff game. Still had roughly 80% of their 2020 Super Bowl team intact, plus had a Top 10 defense come playoff time.

Am I right? Or do facts not matter squashing your agenda?

Making a team one dimensional by stopping the run is always the plan.

However, coaches know that certain QBs are just better than others that they’re not going to say “we’re going to make such and such QBs beat us”, e.g., Maholmes, Brady, etc., those with skins on their walls who’ve shown they can. Even against a prime Romo they did not say that to my knowledge. But there’s usually only 8-10 QBs in the league like that.

I’ve NEVER heard a coach or player say “let’s make Mahomes beat us” or “let’s make Brady beat us”, or “let’s make Burrow beat us”.

There’s quotes from coaches and players saying that about Dak.
Whether they say it or not, every defense begins and ends making the QB and passing game beat them. When you play Brady, Manning, and any QB, you never say, let’s put in a ton of DBs and make them beat us with the run. That would just be stupid. The run is a sure thing if you invite the team to run into a heavy pass defense or prevent defense. You always stop the run first and make any QB, good or not, beat you because there are more things that can go wrong….pass protection or holding, receivers slip and drop passes, QBs pass high, low, off target, make bad decisions, and even when when all is good, a defender may still make a play.

They may not say it, but a defense still makes even Mahommes beat them. No defensive coordinator would ever say, we will give up a 5 yard run every play, but we will not let Mahommes beat us through the air. And every DC’s worst nightmare against a great QB like Mahommes is that his defense can’t even stop the run, so he watches the offense do whatever they want. Whether by design or a lack of actual hand in the dirt D-linemen, the Vikings played that way last night, daring the Eagles to beat them on the ground instead of throwing into coverage.

Excuse me?

A coach on Dak:

"They need to give Zeke some of Dak's money," an AFC defensive coach told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler (h/t Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report). "He scares you the most on that offense."

I expect a formal apology now.
yes, lets go back 5-8 years ago to find an example. Everyone knows that Zeke has not been that guy for the past 3-4 years.

Yea it does matter. That entire division was trash and the winner of it hosted a playoff game with a losing record. Rules are rules but they were far from deserving

Excuse me?

Jimmie award on Dak:

We went in there and did what we needed to do: Stop the run and force them to be one-dimensional. See if Prescott could win the game for them,” Ward, said.

What Jimmie meant was, We are gonna try and let KM's dumb play calls beat us.

Make all the excuses you want. Lesser teams that still make the playoffs have proven many times to be formidable opponents in the playoffs, some even making to a SB and winning it.

No.

I’m just confused as to why this “winner DNA” seems to vanish every season.
Maybe other player's DNA including coaching staff and executive management have suspect DNA as well. On a more serious note, this team looks great based on the small sample size of the first game of the regular season. Let's hope we are for real.
