It is an AFC opponent. Would not hurt our chances for playoff seedings, both wild card and division.

We should clean up NFC teams on our schedule and lose out AFC ones. That should be enough to get into playoffs. Anything can happen once you are in playoffs.

Nope.

Because one of the tiebreakers after divisional records is common opponents. We lost to both the Jets and Packers. Philly beat both. So in that tiebreaker, we are now two games behind them.

This team isn't doing anything in the playoffs. How much evidence do you need to give up that silly notion? Shoot, they have a decent shot of missing the playoffs altogether.

And then by chance we get into the playoffs.... we will be 1 and done. This teams coach has this team too soft. JG is not the answer. Never was. Should have been fired when wade Phillips was fired.

This isn't an attack on you personally, but saying "the right game to lose" is a losers mentality. The good team, coaches, and players want to win every game and accept nothing less. As a football team, the Cowboys are a loser organization right now. Period.

Is there such thing as the "right game to lose"?
Are we that desperate to find a silverlining in a bad loss?
:huh::facepalm:
apparently, its gotten that bad. Wow!....getting beat by 50 or 2 is the same....against an 0-4 team.

The only "right game to lose" is when you already have home field advantage locked up in week 17 with your starters sitting. That's it. No other game outside of preseason.

There is no excuse for sucking that badly against a 0-4 team. None. No silver lining.

THAT is true, but it is still a loss, and the cowboys can only lose 3 more to finish
10-6
4 more to finish 9-7
I think we can assume NE will beat Dallas, so that leaves 2 and 3 more,
and looking at who they have to play rest of the way, I dont think they can do it.
