Well we can talk about it (even though nothing will happen) because everything is hypothetical this time of the year.

It would be nice to get a mid to late round for Free, the team is too loyal to guys like Doug Free but he didn't grade out awful last year and I would love to give Green every chance to win the job.

Ferguson screwed them over leaving this time of the year...or did he help them out since they should be able to easily sign Fitzpatrick now?

From what I have read the Jets knew he was considering retirement and he kept them informed of this potentiality so I don't think he screwed them. I think they screwed themselves over.

You have a franchise LT who I believe has only missed 1 snap in his career, reportedly still very healthy but contemplating retirement at the age of 32. So, the team, knowing that, decides to ask that guy to accept a pay cut? Doesn't make much sense to me unless this was all planned/agreed to by both parties. I suppose it also possible that the Jets wanted to push him out but that doesn't make much sense either given his career and productivity. Either way, if the Jets claim to be surprised by this then they played their hand very poorly.

Model citizen. But he was graded bottom 5 by PFF last year. His play was declining and he also wrote a very touchy letter after watching Concussion movie. Can't find the link now as I am on the phone. I for one am not surprised.

I would love to trade Giants's 10th pick to Jets for Mo Wilkerson and Jets 20th pick.
