CORTLAND, N.Y. -- A brawl involving about 20 players erupted on the sideline in the New York Jets' practice Monday, causing reporters to scatter and coming dangerously close to fans.

It started when safety D'Anton Lynn, son of runnings back coach Anthony Lynn, shoved running back Joe McKnight out of bounds after a screen pass.

McKnight fired the ball at Lynn, and they immediately started fighting, with McKnight charging and throwing the first punch. Within seconds, the offensive and defensive units ran over. A massive pile-up ensued.

Damn.

I'm pretty sure this is over-exaggerated. 2 guys start fighting, and a large group of players try and break it up. BSPN spins it like it was an all out brawl to appeal to the masses. This happens at every training camp, every year.

They are loving the circus atmosphere of Jets camp and the Jets are feeding right into it.

No control. Rex Ryan could be done this year.

Couldn't Tim Tebow stop the fighting with the mere wave of his hand?

Note to McKnight: don't fight with your immediate boss' son. Not a good idea. Especially when you are on the bubble and haven't done squat in this league.

....it's the same clown show his daddy always ran. They should be called the insane clown posse instead of the jets:laugh2:

If the Jets cut McKnight, I would hope the Cowboys sign him ASAP. Excellent special teams player. Remember, he was the one who blocked the punt against us last year.

There was a fight at a practice OH NOO.

Reminds me of the bit with Triumph the insult comic dog hawaii weather...OH NOO CLOUDS

The fights at Cowboys training camps in Austin in the 90s looked like the footage you see of prison yard brawls. Then again, a few of those guys probably later ended up in prison yard brawls, so it might have been good practice.

Either a wave of his hand or he could have taken off his shirt and did a slow motion jog.....

Really . . . yip-dee-doo. What's the big deal? It's pre-season - happens every year.
