Jets release Davante Adams

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...ng-spots-for-six-time-pro-bowl-wide-receiver/

Remember how good Cobb was for us in 2018? What if we get Adams here on a one year deal opposite Lamb?
maybe need to do soem research, a lot of solid FA WRs out there.. BTW I know Jerry gets criticized a lot like using his stupid 4th rounder on Mingo and that was maybe the 4th rounder on Lance gets thrown around the fact that they just got a 5th for Amari which seems to be in line like guy like deebo like we brought over Brandin cooks, we brought over gilmore ,all for for 5ths..

So this stuff happens let's talk about The Jets using a third round pick to use a guy for 1/2 a season and then cut it they just basically burn that third round pick is by the way everybody who thought that somehow The Jets were smart and it was going to change their year show me all those trades at the trade list all those wide receivers that Dallas should have got quote UN quote and how they changed their teams and Mark Cooper didn't change Buffalo at all he would disappear and he went full ghost for most of the year last year but using a third round pick for a guy for 1/2 a year and then letting him go yeah that sounds like burning money..

So just off memory ,I don't think any of those players at the trade deadline worked out for any of those teams especially at wide receiver I remember three to four moves and none of them actually bared fruit at all.. I'm just bringing it up 'cause people made such a big deal the Cowboys made no moves like it was gonna help a very injured team in the 1st place we weren't going anywhere even with little extra moves in the offseason or at the trade deadline given the fact that we had about 18 injuries a bunch to keep positions..

Back to the wide receiver thing why don't we let our new coaching staff figure out which one fits best in the new offense whatever they decide to run they need to go get a guy in the draft as well and then you want to make sure you have balance there between the new additions that they go with lamb and Turpin and whatnot..

Didn't expect that
it is shocking isn't it that a team would waste a third-round pick to use a guy for 1/2 a season and got 0 impact from the trade and then let him go without even getting a fifth?!

how could you not get a fifth at minimum for devante Adams and make it make sense.. you remember all that make it make sense at the trade none of those receivers actually worked out for those teams there was no big impact..

Goes to show that other teams do this where it seems unusual but DeAndre Hopkins was released they didn't get a fifth,

sometimes the money it makes more sense to take less or flat out cut a guy for the salary cap Amari Cooper that was all we could get for him if people don't realize that they say Jerry got robbed and it was dumb..

no $22 million for a backup receiver that's what he was becoming here the number 2 it would have been made more sense if they tried to restructure it lower in hindsight, I don't know if he'd have been up for signing for 12 million taking a pay cut but a fifth is all you can get when a guy is owed $22 million,, that's why deebo Samuel that's he only got a 5th for him..

this happens I just wanna keep bringing this up because it bothers me every time I hear about Jerry wasting picks ,getting robbed at the trade deadline. It happens the Cowboys brought over Gilmore and Brandin cooks both for 5ths, but you would think at least for a guy like devante Adams or Hopkins you could at least get a 5th through A 7,
instead you flat out release them, that is why it's a business that fans just don't get it sometimes, that's all you can get for a player, or you get nothing....

Dallas is not on the East Coast either yet they're stuck in the NFC East. Never understood that. Cowboys should be in the NFC South.
The franchise has had the opportunity to leave the East during expansion/realignment years. Leaving NFL blue bloods like Philadelphia, Washington, New York Giants was never going to happen.

It is a disadvantage for Dallas. Eagles play two road games each year that if it’s a 1:00 PM start players are home for a late supper with their families.

and clearly regretted the decision.
Well, he did have 100 catches for 1500+ yards and 14 TDs his first year with the Raiders. He had a massive contract and probably managed his regret. When the Raiders ditched Carr I expect that his zest for living suffered, much like his stats. It's also hard to paint his reunion with Rodgers in New York as a success.

I'm simply offering a suggestion, and I was citing a move that worked very well for us. Let's not forget how Cobb's career was looking over before he signed with us, and look at how Dak extended his career. I was suggesting Adams because he's someone that I think would suit Dak well, and I think Dak could benefit Adams. All in all, it's additional help that can help us win.

Hell naw. Devante is slow as molasses and is definitely Ivory Springs washed.

Cobb seemed that way entering 2018, and Dak was able to extend his career a few more years. I think Dak can help Adams there, and I think Adams is a smart WR who can help our team. So, I think it'd be a mutually beneficial move.

Adams needs a consistently accurate QB who can fit the ball in tight windows since he cannot get much separation at this point of his career. Consistently accurate and squeezing balls into tight windows is not Dak.
