It always sounded like a typical Jerry panic move. He neglected the DT position for years until it became such a problem, then he overreacted and drafts Mazi out of desperation.

I vividly remember when we first signed him.

This place was off the walls bragging on him and what he was going to do with and for the cowboys

This is why I generally only comment on "play" until the game is over and the season is over

In Mazi's first pre season game I stated that I thought he had a "quiet" game. Not harsh criticism at all, but boy did I get yelled at and called football stupid for not waiting 5 years for him to develop.

No surprise. I wanted to cut Jerry the second he wasted a draft pick on Mazi. Mazi's college tape showed clear as a bell he was not NFL worthy and Jerry dumped a 1st round pick on him! A #1 pick on someone who had zero shot of making it in the NFL.

Ekuban was not as bad as Mazi. Just got hurt a lot. Played decent when he was out there. Not at a first round level, but he did outplay Mazi.

Very true. He could play a bit while **** just can’t play football. He has all the physical tools to be a good nfl player. But he doesn’t have the heart and desire on top of the fact he reacts to the snap slower than any player I’ve ever seen
