Parcells let one slip away. Pace visited the Dolphins first.

This might get my vote for worst contract of free agency. How does Calvin Pace get more money than Lance Briggs? Pace couldn't carry Justin Tuck's jock strap, and Tuck just resigned for $16 million guaranteed two months ago.

Report: Jets agree to terms with OLB Pace
The Jets strike again.

Spending money at an head-spinning rate, the Jets have agreed to terms with former Cards OLB Calvin Pace, according to ESPN.com. Pace, also courted by the Dolphins, will receive $22 million in guarantees - an exhorbitant amount for a player with only 1 1/2 seasons of starting experience.

The Jets outbid Bill Parcells in Miami.

GM Mike Tannenbaum isn’t done, either. Sources say they’re close to signing former Lions RT Damien Woody to a multi-year deal that will average about $5 million per year.

What has gotten into Woody Johnson? He must be blue with envy after having seen the cross-town rival Giants celebrate a Super Bowl championship.
