Help the steelers this time??? Seems every game espically big ones the steelers get every big call in critical situations.... So I am guessing the refs will gift wrap something to the ring of 13 points.. Steelers win a tight one with help from the refs 16- 14

the ref's have given the Stealer's every playoff win since 95,,,and they will give them this Super Bowl too,,,,,,All Hell the Rooney's.

I don't think it will be as bad as many will think. Ed Hochili is calling the game with a combination of guys from his crew, Steratore's crew, Carey's crew, and Blakeman's crew.

No Ron Winter, no Jeff Triplett = a well-called game.

Also, I think it's hilarious how the author of this article says that "as Steeler fans, we are always behind the 8-ball when it comes to the officials." Sure.

Absolutely.

It's a playoff ritual. The Steelers will alwyas get every call and every break. Especially in Pittsburgh. I'm hoping for a game like in 1994 where the Chargers upset the Steelers in the Championship.

I know. How many times have we had to watch this scenario play out? :banghead:

They have been doing that since the 70's; no reason for it to change now.

....the 'Stealers' will get help once again stealing a big game. There is a reason why they are called America's(teflon)Team! The 'Looney' Rooney rules are always in their favor.

The refs gave them their last Superbowl win and the Ravens game last week. The non-PI calls and the mystery illegal block call on that Baltimore TD return were game changers.

cas is the voice of reason. You guys are paranoid.....the steelers are GOOD and have been for a long time. We aren't very good and haven't been for a long time....get over it. That said I'm rooting like hell for the Jets to win...;)

The two teams relative fortunes have nothing to do with the favoritism of certain refs, get on it.

I'm back in my home state of Texas (me, the wife, and our nearly 5 mos. old baby) visiting my mom, brother and sister. Before replying to this thread I shared with my Stiller lovin' wife some of the posts about the Stiller's getting all the breaks. I had to make her see that it was not just me that believes the Stillers get lucky in crucial games.

Of course she rolled her eyes and said, "Jealous much?" Then she went on and said, "You guys are just mad because your team isn't playing."

She does have a point.... to a point. BUT, I told her that every fan of a team that has to play Pittsburgh feels pretty much the same way as we do. I find it hard to respect the Stillers. Or their fans. Heck, our pilot from Pitt to DFW Airport said, "We're 54 miles from DFW. You can't see the Airport from here, but just to our left you can see the stadium where we'll be playin in 2 weeks." I literally cringed and my blood pressure spiked a little.

I've been getting hammered all week long by Stiller fans. I truly believe they are more excited about winning a Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium over trying to win a 7th Lombardi. These fans are 100% overlooking the Jets.

Puke!!!!

When the refs snuggle up and give superbowl 45 to the steelers... Them having a 7 -5 advantage will be next to impossible to pass them in sb wins in my life time.. I have a friend who is a phins fan says the same thing.. Steelers get all the calls... He isn't watching the game... I may do the same.. Just sucks they get every damn call in big spots.

And the phantom defensive holding on the run near the goaline at the end of the game. A flag that came out at the same time the ball was snapped?

Throwing this out there seems the steelers have got all these calls in big spots vs teams that really don't have big fan bases like the cards seahawks ravens... Wonder if the refs job the jets who have a big fan base not to mention are in NYC the media center of the world or even say the packers who rival the steeler fan base... Would the out cry of them finally getting all the calls come out?
Oh and wouldn't it sweet if they lost the superbowl in cowboys stadium? Wishful thinking but that would be sweet as hell...

I'm pickin up what you're puttin down. I think something along those lines would come out about the Stillers getting timely calls in big games. But then again.

And I hope that the Stillers don't even get the chance to step foot on Texas soil. Don't think I can handle another week of their fans, especially if they know they are going to the Super Bowl. I might lose it and ....

How about the early season Miami game this year. They lose that game and possibly home field. Big Ben goes in for a score, fumbles the ball, Miami comes out with the ball in hand and the refs give the ball back to the Stealers.

Hint, hint, the ref is from, where else...Pitt. Total bull crap. I am so sick of this team! They get so damn lucky. Tell me how there is not holding when Ben holds the ball fro about 10 minutes. If that were anyone else, flags would be a flying.

The Jets just need to beat the hell out of Ben R. Their offense is avg, receivers are avg, oline is avg. Defense is remarkable, but you can throw on them.
