The situation with Duane Thomas was much different. The country was dealing with race issue which was a major reason Brown left the NFL and played a big part in what Brown was preaching to guys like Thomas. In the case of Pacman I would say anyone willing to help you turn your life around take advantage of it.

Is this the same Jim Brown that has been accused of smackin' women around?

It's the same Jim Brown that mediated a truce between the "Crips" and "Bloods" LA gangs, which surely saved hundreds, if not thousands, of lives. Not to mention the fact that he was very outspoken during the civil rights movement in order to get Black Americans equal rights. He's not perfect, but until you've walked in the man's shoes, or accomplished a fraction of what he's done, on or off the field, then base your criticism on his views and not on his character. JMHO.

I'd rather have Pacman get advise from Charles Manson then Jim Brown. No doubt it would be a better choice for his career.

I know what the guy has done and what he hasn't done. I don't wanna hear, "until you've walked in the man's shoes".....we've all walked some pretty nasty miles...........trust me.
