I really think Rod is buying his ticket right now to Tampa to meet up with his good buddy and a better pay check.

So what do you all think about Jim? He's out in Buffallo on account there moving to a 3-4 which is dumb since they had the #3 Defense as a 4-3, but their loss can be our gain!

Also might attract Suh, for any of you interested.

Who else is out there, if Marinelli does leave I wouldn't mind to bring this guy unless we go with our Linebackers coach.

Not a fan of the guy and to be honest......i'm not sure if it was him or the Bills personnel. They have the best defensive line in football arguably. They have a solid defense without him. I personally don't like the guy as a head coach. Maybe as a assistant coach he's more laid back but he doesn't fit the mold of what we seem to be wanting to do with this team in regards to our coaches and players. You don't need a guy like that being a distraction like Rob Ryan was.

I see no reason why you couldn't promote someone from our staff or someone else's. Seahawks camp or the Cardinals camp are two defenses that i'd look at.

Cardinals 3-4, Seahawks Id say bring Ken Norton Jr.
Shwartz defense led the league in sacks and idk about bringing Suh but his pass rusher Jerry Hughes from around the area would be nice.

I'm not saying bring in Todd Bowles i'm just saying bring in someone out of that camp. Not quite sure about Norton JR though the Cowboys reunion would be nice i'm just not sure of how good of a DC he'd be. But he and Garrett do have a history so maybe that's something to think about.

Jerry Hughes scares me in the sense that i'm not sure if he's a product of playing alongside 3 studs or if they are benefiting off playing next to him. Signing him to big money scares me.

I'm for it. He has a lot of passion and I think he could take this defense to the next level provided we add some pieces.

I suggested Todd Bowles the other day....but when I think about where this team is....we might want to promote from within. What we need is 2 more impact players on defense....not necessarily a new philosophy

Lebeau?

I am not going to worry about a DC until we actually hear that Marinelli is gone...Stevie is trying to keep the gang together...let's see if money and future talks

I like me some dirt bags on defense but even Schwartz is too much of a clown for my liking

If Rod leaves he should be the top choice imo, look what he did with arguably his best player out all year. I am referring to Kiko Alonso. I'm not saying his cupboard was bare but the mediots did write that unit off when he went down early last year....

I don't think Rod is leaving personally, but Schwartz would be a nice replacement, not sure this forum could handle his passion tho.

he is a product of having 2 of the best lines in football today, fair enough he pretty much built the lions line but there defence was better this season without him there.
The bills defnce was already pretty good before he turned up and they have a lot of high draft picks on it.
I doubt he has anywhere near that success with what we have on defence at present
