He can't create his own shot?

That right there tells me you haven't seen him play.

Please, don't tell me what I have and haven't seen.

Off the dribble, no. He can create space and get his shot off in tight spaces, but he won't be able to do that at the next level. NBA defenders would physically abuse him. Like I said, he's nothing more then a role player. Jason Kapono.

I hate hearing that. I think he could have played PG in the NBA. Seemed like a really good kid too.

Yeah, pretty good player. It's unfortunate for him. You hear it all the time but it's true. That's why you work to get the education.

They are finesse players who are not able to handle the physical play of the NBA. Jimmer will be another one as well.

He grew up playing against prison teams, .. I think he will be fine.

I like that about Huggins too.
Having said that, he would still play Jimmer all day long. He's a great college player and Huggins would have him tighten up on D for certain.

Probably, .. but Mitchell is absolutely Huggins best scorer, no one else is close, and there are times he sits and watches. (after getting an earful from Huggins)

Huggins team won 20 games in the Big East, was the #6 seed in the BE tournament, and a 5 seed in the Big Dance.

Even though none of his players were on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team Big East.

He should be coach of the year.

But he hasn't recruited very well since coming to WVU. Most of his success has been with Beilein's kids.

I do think he made all of those kids better players, but Beilein did recruit them.

:lmao2: @ Kapono.

So you're saying Fredette will be nothing more than a spot up shooter? Just stop. Fredette is 10 times the athlete Kapono is. Dude got recruited to Penn St. as a WR back in high school.

I'm not saying he's going to be great, but he can give a team some instant O off the bench. He definitely as the ability to be in the same mold as Ben Gordon/Jason Terry/& Marcus Thornton.

Freddette creates shots off the dribble and has a nasty crossover move. It is his sheer guts as a shooter that is amazing though. Once he crosses half court get a guy on him or he will pull up and shoot.

I do not think he can be an NBA star, but he will make some team better. Bet on that. He's a perfect fit for a team that has someone like Kobe or Carmelo that draws attention. Kick it to him and he will sink the shot. Guard him too close and Kobe or Carmelo get a one on one where they have the advantage.

Years ago Detroit had a player, Vinny Johnson, that they called the Microwave. He came off the bench, got hot fast, and lit teams up. No reason at all Freddette can't do something like that.

No he is not a defender, but leave him open for 3 and he will sink it. Steve Kerr, John Paxson, Craig Hodges and a lot of other player have made decent careers hitting the deep ball and making teams pay.

I dunno if that's a given. If you can shoot, you can play in the NBA. He won't have to create his own shot. Put him on a team with Kobe Bryant or say the Miami Heat and let him shoot wide open 3s for 7-10 minutes a night. Can't win a championship without role players. No comparison to Morrison or Curry who are totally different players and not near as effective shooting as Freddette.

Stephen Curry is one of the best shooters in the NBA.
