Let's get the band back together!

If Tony Wise coaching anywhere? How about Hubbard Alexander?

Both are available, as I don't think either is coaching. Joe Brodsky has sadly passed away, but I say we go find Clarence Shelmon, who did a great job with Emmitt and Chris Warren here under Gailey and then got unceremoniously dumped.

Oh, and don't forget to give Steve Hoffman some type of faux title so we can pry him away from the Falcons.

Well if you want the reunion tour, fine, but you prolly better bring the same players back in their prime too if you expect to have real success.

I mean I'm a cynic but it seems to me that Norv has had ample opportunity to turn other guys into the next Triplets and Jimmy has had an opportunity to run a show based on player evaluation and motivation and the results in all cases were pretty ordinary.

Course at this point any new staff you bring with even the slightest clue will prolly have some degree of success.

Wanny's busy driving the Pitt Panthers into a decade of mediocrity. Leave him be.

i liked Chan Gailey.....he got us to the playoffs and cleaned up the Crack Wagon....the big issue was Aikman couldnt adjust to his system....

Romo is young and just beginning...I say bring back Gailey as our OC and give him another chance....I bet he could work wonders....too bad we couldn't have gotten Mike Martz.....then guys like Austin and Hurd could have come out of nowhere and had 1000 yd seasons.

Tony wise is the offensive line coach with the jets
Hudson houck is the offensive line coach with the dolphins
campo, davis, wannstedt are all under contract also.

Along with turner who is building something very good in San francisco.

the only way I would want jimmy back is with his assitants. A head coach is only as good as his assitants and quarterback.

Now you're speaking my language. Maybe Georgia Tech will let Chan loose after that 2nd half collapse in the Gator Bowl yesterday. Ahh, wishful thinking.

5 wides with Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Hurd, and Austin in Gailey's system would be sweet. Not to mention the occasional option play with Julius and/or Barber. Speaking of Julius and how a lot of us on here have been saying that he needs someone to "resurrect" him again---look at Gailey's work with both Emmitt in '98 and '99 and Lamar Smith in '00 and '01 when he was the 'Fins offensive coordinator. His system helped both backs enjoy excellent years. In Emmitt's case, he even had a very complimentary quote on Gailey's website some time back saying that Gailey helped revitalize his career.

Would Chan ever want to work for Jerry again though? He stood up to him last time and got canned for it, and he felt betrayed because of his belief that Jerry let Aikman talk him into giving him the ultimatum of changing offensive systems or being fired.

Incidentally, :lmao: @ "cleaned up the Crack Wagon". Very true, but an interesting way to put it!
