Jimmy Clausen

He's not going to Cleveland.

Holmgren probably takes Berry or Odrick, and then goes Colt or Tebow in the 2nd round.

There is no chance at all Odrick goes to Cleveland that early. Odrick is a 20-35 range guy. He won't go top 10.

We'll see. I remember people telling me I was crazy when I said Tyson Jackson goes to KC with the 3rd pick.

FWIW, I wouldn't be surprised if Tebow goes before Clausen. Either the Browns or Patriots trades up to the late 1st to take Tebow.

I give it no chance.

Bradford,Clausen,McCoy,Tebow. There is no way a team takes Tebow over Clausen. MAYBE McCoy, but still doubtful on that.

Why would anyone trade up for Tebow when he'll be there in the mid to late 2nd?

Yea, for either player.

There a ton of crap teams from 33-45 that would be all over one of these two
Yeah...it would make great bait.

I did hear a scout on ESPN radio today really blasting Clausen. He said his group was having a tough time grading him above the bottom of round one, but said he could still go to Buffalo. If not there, it could be off the cliff.

Itd be hilarious if he can trick Buffalo into another trade up for an immature QB

Just hope we dont pass on a Steven Jackson this time

What does that have to do with Clausen? I don't think Bradford is going to be a great one, either. Doesn't matter. This discussion was about Clausen and as usual you get your panties in a wad when a Notre Dame player is dissed. I didn't even diss him. I just made a statement that it would have been nice to see him truly get tested this past season.

Just how many defenses in YOUR so called opinion would have tested either Bradford or Clausen. That really is not important. You look at how a QB reacts to pressure, tight coverage, shifts in Defenses, blitzes, etc. Some teams do some well and others do other things well. Real SCOUTS and COACHES can figure it out without whining about top defenses.

I think Holmgren could take Clausen - he seems to be throwing up a few smokescreens to me.

Delhomme is a one year rental. He can sit for a year or two and learn; flashbacks of Quinn are imminent, but it's a new regime in town.

Clausen won't drop to us, and if he does I wouldn't be against us taking him if we don't get a good trade down offer. I love Romo, but Clausen's going to be a very good pro. It'd be a nice situation to have 2 quality QBs.

Clausen played 3 years in a pro style offense. He's got to be a possibility at Kansas City as well if they don't believe in Cassell. He makes great decisions, has tremendous accuracy (especially on deep balls), and has a strong enough arm to succeed. This isn't Brady Quinn part 2. I think people still hold it against him how big of a d-bag he was when he first got to South Bend. From all accounts it seems like he really matured and was a good teammate.

I could see Holmgren...maybe...going for it. He's a bit of a poker player.

If he slides to 27, do you want to see the Cowboys trade down with BUF, CLE, or OAK?

Either. They all have top 10 picks in Round 2, but preferably Cleveland because they have #6 in round 2 (#38 OVR).
