Jimmy - Eagles have no Chance

Jimmy is being extremely foolish. Extremely.

He said they had no shot today? How did that turn out?

I already see the same people posting in the same manner they did before the saints game, yet last week they wanted half the roster and the head coach changed?

What is with some of the people here.

This is a week to week league. If we allow the eagles to hit romo as much as they hit manning we will lose.

Ron jaworski will be unbearable this week, already this past friday he predicted the eagles to win out and win the division and go deep into the playoffs!

I want to win this game so bad. I cant wait to go to the game. There had better not be one eagle fan in the lower bowl at the stadium, ie the season ticket holders seats.

Jimmy is setting up Parcells like he used to set Shula up all throughout the '95 season during his initial tenure on Fox, when he was saying that a team with as much talent as that Dolphins squad should go very far. Now that he's eyeing a comeback here after fully mending fences with Jerry, he's got Parcells in his crosshairs. :

If that isn't motivation to destroy the Beagles at home, then we don't even deserve to make the playoffs.


Thats the key, Parcells gave the players off till wednesday, if you guys remember, before the saints game after thanksgiving, Parcells gave the boys off till wedensday, and the saints killed us the next game.

Either the players must realize what this is and be ready, come even in their off day and watch film for keys to the game on Tuesday. True, dont mess with the coaches, but come in, watch film, prepare, get treatment from trainers if you need it and be ready.

So, to me, our fans need to let the writers, the ticket, www.theticket.com remind mickey spagnola and norm about when they took off thanksgiving, and layed an egg against the saints with poor execution.

We played the Giants after Thanksgiving and won. The Saints game came afterv that.

Pure and simple, the game next week is for the division title. It will be the difference between winning the division and getting at least one home game or hitting the road as a wildcard team. In addition, it could also very well be for the second overall seed, a bye week, and at worse only one road playoff game. If that isn't motivation to destroy the Beagles at home, then we don't even deserve to make the playoffs.

We're all true fans here, yet few of us have the opportunity to attend a Cowboys home game. So for every fan here who does have the opportunity, bring every Cowboys fan you can find with you, b/c if TX. Stadium sounds like it did when the Saints were in town - basically it was like the Superdome came with them - every fan in the Dallas metroplex should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes a Eagles fan or 2 may sneak in, but Cowboys fans need to give the team a true home-field advantage, ala the early - mid '90's.

That being said, I don't see Garcia & co. doing much vs. the Cowboys D. I posted in another thread I fully expect Zimmer and his staff to put extra hours in to ensure the flat in covered in all situations and if you review earlier games the Cowboys D has been weak - at times - vs. the deep pass and only the past 2 games has this susceptibility to the back in the flat been exposed.

The Eagles can't throw deep, esp. w/ Garcia at the helm and with what I expect to be extra concentration on the flat, I think the Cowboys D can really shut-down the Eagles O.

On the other side, I don't see the Eagles stopping the Cowboys on any consistent basis. If you go back to the first meeting, the Eagles had McNabb and the Cowboys still win that game if Romo is playing. Well Romo is playing now nad McNabb isn't - advantage Cowboys.

I remember when Shula was the coach of the Dolphins and Jimmy was an analyst he kept saying that Miami was a SB team and they fell flat on their ---------faces.

The subliminal message was that the team was good enough to go to the SB if they had a good coach. Subsequently, Shula felt pressured out and Jimmy soon took over the reins but they still flopped.

Does he really believe the Eagles have no chance or is he setting Parcells up?

No its not. It clear that the downfield big play offenses that are killing Brees and Vick have big arms and stretch the field our biggest vulnerability. Westcoast dink and dunk doesn't really work

I am glad Philly got hot and are playing for something against us. It will make it all the more sweeter when we beat that arse... then get the #2 seed and sit at home and watch them lose in 1st round.
