He knew Thurman Thomas was going to put the ball on the ground in the Super Bowl against Buffalo.
He knew how to make adjustments when what he was trying to do wasn’t working
I want to see Dan Quinn slow the pass rush down and stop the run.
I didn’t take the league long to learn how to combat are pass rush,

I used Jimmy as an example on purpose. It’s OK to say what I’m doing is wrong I’ll fix it. I think that was one of the best things I liked about him
Jerry Jones needs to learn from this. It’s OK to say I’m wrong. And until he does same old same old cowboys
I do believe we have the talent, players I’m still not sold on coaching. The scheme.

Jerry needs to admit to his mistake of Kellen Moore.
We wasted 10 years with Garrett. But he hasn't learned that Moore is a Garrett clone. Or he knows it and is too stubborn to admit to it.

Jerry hangs onto his mistakes way too long. As where Bellichek made moves on players and coaches before it was too late.

The amount of people that don’t realize Moore is a huge problem is mind boggling.

Any OC that isn’t KM knows that trying to turn Dak into a statue pocket passer is not good. Any OC that thinks long developing routes are good for Dak is also wrong. Dak needs to be in a quick system. Hence why he does so well when he’s calling the plays in the hurry up. It’s quick hitters. KM is still running the same ol Air Coyrell system and it’s infuriating.

Jerry knows Moore is a Garrett clone; that's why he's still here. I still say he is the next HC.

I agree with all of what you are saying, so to me the real question is why doesn't Big Mike run the offense, or have Kellen Moore do exactly what Mike asks.
He is the head coach, he should do more than just turn the lights off after practice.
Long way of me really saying and something I have been saying for years and years, Jerry does not care about actually winning a SB, he is ok with going 8-8... (yes I know we have 17 games now). Just look at the team since 2007, Jerry realized after Bill was let go that he just needs to be relevant winning a SB does nothing for him. For example if he went and hired Shanahan & a GM, and within three years the team wins a SB, the media, fans, world will say you wasted the past 27 years when all you had to do was open your checkbook and get the right people in house? What is there for Jerry to gain?

-He has three SB's
-HOF
-Owner of the most valuable franchise in all of sport
-Most revenue and profit generation in all of football
-A senior owner who has clout

He will win a SB because of him or never get there. I have realized unless a Mahomes falls in our laps on offense, we got Micah at defense we have no chance of winning a SB. My goal is to now see this team make it past the 2nd round. SB is a far fetched dream.
We have not made an NFC championship game since January 1996, we would use AOL on a dial up modem to get on the internet.
Just think about for a moment.

I think that part of what makes a great coach is a willingness to drastically alter your approach if it is not working. Too often during the Garret era we saw the same worn out game plan that did little to maximize player strengths being trotted out.

DQ has done an excellent job with this defense, transforming it from dead last in the league into a top-10 unit in less than 2 seasons. What I would like to see him do now is pivot and respond to what really appears to be the first major adversity his unit has faced. To continue the free lancing, sack-centric approach will be a disaster for this team if opponents continue to stay committed to the run. I truly believe this team has more than enough talent on the defensive side of the ball to make it work, but the coaching staff has got to shore up the schematic deficiencies that other teams have exposed the last few weeks.

Jimmy preached discipline and accountability. Two things that the HCs since him have forgotten.

Can we stop this. I know a lot of you older folks worship Jimmy but he simply had more talent than everybody. Seriously.

It's easy to adjust when you're flat out better than everybody. You don't even need to adjust, everything will course correct itself.

The SB was always Frisco vs Dallas.

Marino was on his last legs and had the mobility of a man hole cover by then.
Hahaha. Marino wasn't a scrambler. Never had to be with an arm and release like he had. Don't know what reruns you watched but I saw the man play live.

Marino was the quintessential "pocket passer". He never moved at anytime in his career. He honestly made a qb standing in the pocket a sort of false stereotype for QB's...a pocket passer is necessary but great QB"s for the most part are always somewhat mobile. Staubach, Namath, Montana, Young, Moon, Cunningham, Elway, and now Mahomes, Wilson (pre 2022). It's because nobody that becomes a QB just decides to not be athletic..before they're a QB they're a QB,Safety or etc in middle school and high school. Guys like Manning, Brady, Brees and Marino are more rare than the other way around.

Jimmy reiterated that he treated everybody differently depending on how valuable you were to the roster. We have all heard the "what if Troy fell asleep in a meeting and Jimmy's response". I believe when he was on his book tour this week, I think on Cowherd, Jimmy talked about Haley. Jimmy said " Charles told him I love playing for coach, but just dont embarrass me by calling me out in front of the team. Jimmy never did and Charles played hard for him. Jimmy knew how to motivate and handle the individual player as good as anybody.

Jimmy had great athletes....believe me, they make mediocre coaches look like great coach. I appreciate what he did, but I don't like that he quit on us because he thought he was more important than his boss, that gave him a job and everything he needed to win.
