Former Dallas Cowboys legendary coach Jimmy Johnson with an interesting coaching idea for the #Cowboys and #Steelers on his #NFLPlayoffs pregame show:
"I've got no inside information, but things are stale in Pittsburgh. Things are stale in Dallas. Food for thought: how about coaching swap? Mike McCarthy is a Pittsburgh guy. Let him go to Pittsburgh, let Mike Tomlin go to Dallas. Both franchises would be excited."

mike tomlin would probably wake up this team a little bit but it comes down to players and both the cowboys and steelers do not have the players to win it all.

Love Jimmy, but swapping one stale HC for another is ridiculous. Mike Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff games since 2016. We’ve only won two playoff games the past 30 years with retreads.

I like and respect Tomlin. One of my favorite all time HCs, but I don’t think he would stand for Jerry holding court outside the locker room after games….and that’s just the beginning.

And things aren’t “stale” in Dallas, they just don’t have enough good players, and the good players they have aren’t quite good enough.

Tomlin is a great leader of men but he isn’t fixing that. The Steelers are actually kinda cheap, but nowhere near Dallas.

Yup, Tomlin and McCarthy are a combined 1-8 in the playoffs since 2016. It speaks for itself

The only thing "stale" in Dallas is the yet un-embalmed front office.

I don't see Tomlin being a good fit for the Cowboys. He's done nothing in the playoffs, despite having a fair amount of autonomy in Pittsburgh. Is it reasonable to think he'd perform better with a much tighter leash in Dallas?

If Jerry isn't going to relinquish any control then just stick with MM. The problem is Jerry. It's ALWAYS been Jerry.

It's always funny to hear Jimmy talk about what's wrong in Dallas knowing he knows exactly what is "stale" in Dallas. Lol He left Dallas due to the problem in Dallas.

A coach swap isn't changing the issue.

Fair, but moot as can be. He isn’t coming here…nor taking the pay cut. I don’t even know what he makes but Jerry want me to pay less I’m sure.

Jerry doesn’t think coaching means a thing. Just collect great players through the draft. Wont work. Can’t work. Not changing.
