I'd never seen that. Jimmy Stewart was a class act and great actor. It brought a tear to my eye.

Thanks for posting.

Just wonderful!
I also remember a poem about his camera getting eatten by a hyena (from the camera's perspective). I would find/post the poem but w/o Stewart unique inflections it loses alot.

If someone asked me for the typical ideal american, I gotta go with Jimmy Stewart

You would be hard put to find any show in TV history that had more moments of great entertainment then the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

I'm not sure how to say this but I've had a couple of strange things happen that doesn't make sense ever since my Bullmastiff died last year. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts and especially ghosts from animals. However I had a couple of instances that I've been trying to explain and so far cannot. All of this happened approximately within the past 2-3 months.

1st-I was sitting at my desk and happened to see my Papillon sitting on the bed looking at the bathroom with the door open and the light off. She had an intense look in her eyes like she was interested in something but not alarmed. She stared for awhile at the bathroom and then she turned her head and her gaze quickly turned to the walk in closet 3 ft away. The closet doesn't have a door on it because the bedroom door and the closet door would consistently make contact marking up both doors.

I put up a nice curtain-like separator instead. Well, when she looked over to the closet I followed her gaze and looked to the closet only to see the lower 3 ft of the curtain sway fairly quickly and then instantly slow down. My wife was in the room and I asked if she saw it and she said no. I then said that it better be our other dog that just went in there. However when I got up and looked in the closet, there was nothing. The hair on my arm stood up. But then I instantly tried to reason it away. It wasn't a breeze or wind of any kind and I could never explain it.

2nd-Then, a few weeks later. I had something else strange happen. I couldn't sleep so I grabbed my phone to play a game on it in the living room as I hadn't planned on being out there that long and didn't feel like turning on the TV. I sat on the couch in the dark for only about a minute or so when I heard the sound of one of my dogs turn around by me on the floor next to the couch and lie down and it let out a distinct sigh like they do every day. I'm sure every one that reads this knows what I'm talking about. For some reason something didn't seem right. I think it's because I didn't remember any of my animals being in the living room while I was out there.

I got up and turned on the lights and looked and there was nothing there. I was sure nothing had left the room when I got up either. I was eerily never in fear and there was nothing scary about it although the creep factor was high. I know for a fact I heard what I heard and none of my dogs were around and the sound of what I heard wasn't due to echoes from the other rooms. If anything the sound could have been a few feet further away where my Bullmastiff spent his last few days before we went to put him down due to Cancer.

I've tried to write this off as I'm a skeptic and believe there is an explanation to most anything but these are things I dealt with first hand. For the second instance, I've already tried to write it off as something else like a noise outside or something but I know that I heard it, where I heard it and what I heard. I wasn't even looking for something to creep me out as I already was writing off the first instance so my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. My wife later told me she heard some similar things but never told me because she thought I'd think she was strange. She thinks it might have something to do with my dog that died but my animal never died in the house and this was the summer before last so why now (even if something like this could ever happen)? Either way, I know that I didn't imagine both of them.
