JJ Watt on the youtubes

Let me know the next time Igor draws a holding call in pass rush after he just left the offensive tackle laying with his back on the ground after utilizing a spin move. Oh, I get it ... because they're both white.

I don't know what people were watching ... I saw a constant disruptive force who was constantly in the backfield. Cannon didn't really impress me at all, but Dalton made some nice hurried throws with accuracy under pressure.

Explain what you mean? He doesn't play anything like Igor.

Just kidding, guys. There was a conversation between Sdogo and UnoDallas where UD kept insisting, without any evidence, that Watt and Igor were identical.

I don't doubt the need for a strong front 3 I just would not use a 9 to address it. Sorry I think a 9 overall pick should be as you call a wow player and guy who comes in and makes a big impact.

Who do you consider a "wow" player in this draft who we have a realistic chance of getting (without trading up)?

Outside of Peterson not many unless you looking at the 2 top WR. I think there are some solid picks out there on the DL and OL but to put in the catagory of "wow" in my view not many. Which is why I think there is a good chance of Dallas trading back getting one of the top OT and a extra pick.

See I thought he looked more like a 3-4 OLB than a 5 technique.

Ding-ding.

Watt is much more comfortable, from what I've seen, standing up as opposed to playing with his hand down. I think he could project to a strong side OLB in a 34.

Other than his 40 time, his numbers compare quit well to our current roster of OLBs except Ware of course. Experience in coverage would be a problem though. If you really look at his numbers, he also compares to Chris Long quite well while carrying more weight at the time of each of their combines.

He had a great combine, no doubt, just can't see him at #9 though. Picking him in the teens will be a good deal though.

People really have antiquated, narrow minded and outdated viewpoints of what a 3-4 DE is.

aint that the truth!

I agree with you. I don't think there are many "wow" players in this draft.

Which is why it may be quite difficult to move back in the draft. I'd imagine other teams may feel the same way.

I mean, if you can't get T Smith, get Costanza (sp?) or Carimi, or Solder. If you can't get Von Miller, get Quinn, etc.

I think Peterson and maybe Green are the only "wow" players.

It's hilaroius how people think 3-4 DEs don't really do anything other than just stand there like a big stiff. I guess that would make Igor one of the elite at what he does? My Gosh, how did we get such a steal?

The funny thing is many of the people who claim a 3-4 DE isn't worth a Top 10 pick are the same ones who wanted to move Jay Ratliff, a Proven All Pro interior defnesive linemen, out to DE to ... well .... not do anything and be a big stiff, I suppose?

So for those keeping score....

Proven All Pro defensive linemen already among the top 5 interior DL in the league = expendible to DE.

#9 pick used on a player who has never played a single snap in the NFL = too valuable to waste on a DE.

Funny, most of the DE who are leading their teams with sacks are playing in the 4-3 while the sack leaders for teams running the 3-4 are OLB. I like Watts but not at 9.
Most, but not all. Justin Smith led the 49ers in sacks, and that is who JJ Watt reminds me of. And not just because they're both white. They have similar games.

:lmao: i was hoping that was what you were going for, good stuff maso

Guy is very atheletic, you can't tell from that how physical he is and I didn't watch Wisconsin much. To be a 3 tech you have to be able to be stout against the run and hold up against a double teams from massive tackles. Can he do that?

Looked like Igor 2.0 in that video minus the dancing. So that would be a marked improvement.
