This is from the ESPN the Magazine Photo Shoot. I realize Houston is also in Texas and going for the whole on the ranch vibe makes complete sense. It's just ironic how much of a "COWBOY" in the literal sense they're making him out to be with this shoot. Just a laugh... As loathe as I am to admit it, I certainly wouldn't mind if he was a Cowboy...

I'll take that cowboy! :p

I am not from Texas but have to tell you a lot of people around the country think most Texans wear hats & ride horses. That's just the stereotype.

As a kid from Texas (whose mother was from Los Angeles) I can attest to the stereotype lol, I was routinely asked about riding a horse to school when we would visit Cali. That was in the early 80's though

Well, Randy White is from Pennsylvania and Delaware, and played college ball at Maryland. Now he's got a bigger Texas drawl than Willie Nelson. Texas rubs off on folks.

If J J Watt wants to play cowboy...you go right ahead Mr Watt.

Maybe he's dressing up as a Texan.

This. The texans have a huge inferiority complex, but I don't think it's on display here.

This is just the attire associated with being a Texan-- the national perception of texans doesn't really distinguish Texan from cowboy.

Watt wears it well. Some dudes try out the style and they look like a drug store cowboy.

Watt looks like a corn-fed, cowboy. Rugged.

Dressing up like a cowboy? Seems kind of broke backish to me, not that there is anything wrong with that. :)
