Did it strike anybody odd that JJ says that NOW the process has begun to look at the players who play the hardest, want to win the most, etc.?

This should be an ON-GOING process....not just starting NOW.

Man, if they lay down from here on out, they are just asking to be let go.

It is what you do now that you aren't going to the playoffs. As he admitted the playoffs are done, he notes all that's left is looking for players who play hard.

I don't think of us really want him to go back and cut people based off that game or else we'd have a roster of about 3 guys.

Exactly. Essentially he is given players fair warning. So now, they don't have any excuses to lay down. So they lay down at their own peril.

I understand that...but as a guy that is paying these players the amount of money that they are, this would be an on-going process for me.

I wouldn't stand for guys taking a PLAY off, much less a quarter or a game.

Regardless what Jerry says, he can't cut every player on the roster. I'm sure there are some players that know they won't be cut regardless. Maybe I'm wrong, but we can't put together a whole new 53 next year. The players know this. I just hope they show some pride the rest of the season, but the last three games don't give me any reason to think they will.
