Joan Rivers Hospitalized After Cardiac Arrest

Joan Rivers has been rushed to a New York City hospital in critical condition after an emergency call that she was in cardiac arrest, according to a law enforcement source.

The New York City Fire Department transported a woman matching her description to Mt. Sinai Hospital earlier this morning after receiving a call that the woman was in cardiac arrest at an Upper East Side clinic, Yorkville Endoscopy, an FDNY source said. The law enforcement source confirmed the woman was Joan Rivers.

"The waking-up process has begun and will take until Tuesday," a source told the NY Daily News. "There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised, leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair."

How about replacing that with vegetative state from the so-called professional journalists. Even if "this" source used that term, it should not have been printed that way.

I am not even a Joan Rivers fan but I wish her and the family the best.
