There were rumors going around that former Cowboys special teams and Desperados head coach Joe Avezzano was rushed to the hospital down in Corpus Christi.

I talked to Avezzano on Sunday night and he's fine. Avezzano was at an indoor football game on Saturday night and didn't feel well. Avezzano said he was doing a meet and greet and decided to go to the hospital to get checked out after getting ill.

Doctors told him he was OK.

Avezzano went back to his hotel room to rest and arrived in Dallas on Sunday afternoon.

That's good news.

I miss that guy. He was pretty intense on the sideline. Not sure about his X's and O's, but the guy sure had that italian temper and would rip into ST when needed.
