Why is this guy still STs coach? How many blocked punts, KO returns for TDs, & fumbled KOs have the Cowboys had since he's been here? Have WE had a return for a touchdown or blocked punt for TD during that time? I can't remember one.

The team controlled TOP, rushing, passing, & total yards, but still lost due to two special teams botched plays. One on the record-setting return, & one on the missed FG. When you have a 488-320 yards advantage & a 30-19 first downs advantage, you should win the game.

This was a must-win game & one that we would have won with better special teams coaching.

I'm pretty sure he got a lifetime contact after the stadium mishap in exchange for not suing Jerry.

If it makes you feel any better, we'll probably devote the entire upcoming draft to special teams.

According to many here, its because Jerry feels responsible for Joe D since the practice facility collapse incident.

:laugh2: Nice!

jerry hands all over this one. This is why it pains to be a cowboys fan. Jerry has his hands in too much. Just be the dang owner. Promote the cowboys and etc. Let someone else make the decisions. Joe should have been gone after last season. Now we have yet another terrible season for special teams.

We had the chance to be rid of him when the Raiders wanted to offer him the Asst HC/Special Teams title. We declined to let him go. Big mistake.

What baffles me is that Chris Collinsworth mentioned him a the next Harbaugh(ST coach who could be an NFL head coach).

Business is business. Yes what happened to him was terrible but he should not get a pass. His area of responsibility is/has been killing us

Maybe thats why Jerruh is keeping him around - backup if Red J fails! :lmao2:

Am I the only one here that wouldn't mind having this man take Joe D's place?

How cool was it when Safeties wore full cage facemasks?

nope :starspin

I can understand the debate over Garrett being head coach. If anybody sticks up for Joe D. I think they have a screw loose. There is no way that anybody can defend him. IMO he is the worst special teams coach in team history. Every area of special teams is horrible.

Joe D really does go under the radar.

Seems to be there have been MANY special teams blunders over the past few years.

Apparently getting beaned by a steel beam has its previleges.
