I'm all for not overpaying but seeing this hurts me to the core. It doesn't even look right. Why oh why do the football gods dangle this perpetual carrot in front of us that we can never catch? So close yet so far away.

Looks like all those carries really wore him down

He chose the green, so I hope he has a terrible year

Good for DeMarco. He got paid. I was never a huge fan of him as a runner. He was above average at the beginning of the year and average at the end of it. His greatest skill last year was his ability to carry the ball almost 400 times.

Perhaps if our staff had split the carries 70/30 instead of 98/2, I would have liked Murray more, because he probably would have been a better runner.

If the Eagles only run him 15 times a game, we will probably do well. I wish him the best.

I doubt he duplicates the 1,800 yards as well I don't know any RB who has put back to back season up like that, I do think he will continue to be an effective RB.

He won't duplicate 1800 but it would be unrealistic to even expect that. There's a reason why seasons like that only happen every so often. 1500 from him behind this line along with all of our other additions would have us going to the Super Bowl this year.

I agree I think it is unrealistic to expect that from any player in any given year, as great as AP has been he has only gone over 1,800 once. I think one thing Murray does bring to Philly is a stronger runner around the redzone where the Eagles have left a lot of points over the last few season even when Reid was the HC. I know we all hate Philly but in some way they did improve themselves in that area

I know you haven't forgotten about Eric Dickerson who put up back-to-back 1800 yard seasons. Of course that happened during his first two years in the league when he was 23 and 24 years old.

I, like many reasonably expect Murray's production to be less this season whether in Dallas or Philly. I agree with you that he will continue to be effective.

He looks like a thug now. Is that a Philly thing?

Murray might having trouble breaking 1,000 yards.

I see a bunch of sub 50 yard games in his future.

In at least one of the games against us he will have 20-30 yards. They will abandon the run game.
