As a Tennessee fan, I can tell you that he will never be a number 1 and, in my opinion, he won’t make it as a number 2 in the league. In one of this biggest games of his career when Tennessee was driving for a TD to win the game, it was 4th and goal and he ran out of bounds instead of trying to force the ball into the end zone for a possible TD or PI. This is a perfect example of his decision making.

The fact that Dallas has a guy in house with TN ties and they still took a flyer on him speaks to the state of our program. Not a good pickup for us IMHO.
Has some similarities to Cam Newton.

Sounds like Trance 2.0.

I mean Tom Brady, Brett Farve, Phil Simms, after a quick Google. Lol

Hes a back up, maybe we run an offense he's good in. Maybe he gets coached up somehow. I'll give him a camp and preseason before losing all hope.
Are you putting Milton in the same class as those 3 QBs? How many games did you watch any of those 3 play? It’s not close. Simms didn’t have a stellar college career but lots of good games. Milton had one big game his entire college career. Your argument doesn’t hold water.

it isn't unprecedented, who thought Romo and Dak will be 2 time re-signed QBs when they first got here?

I disagree. It was how he looked in camps that got him noticed by Parcels.
I was at the camp his rookie year and he was terrible. The reason he became what he end up being was due to hard work and luck. Had Carter not been caught smoking weed Romo would have been cut and would not have had a chance to improve himself as a qb. At least not as a Cowboy.

Carter wasn't caught. He would rather get high than play football.

They get an opportunity to show what they got on the scout team against the number 1 Defense. When Romo and Austin was carving up our D, Parcell's new he had something.

One thing we know for sure, this will be Milton's preseason as far as the quarterback position is concerned.

His performance dictates whether or not the Cowboys grab a veteran before the regular season begins.

We are not grabbing anything else. You think Jerry will cut him after trading for him? That would mean Jerry made a mistake. Jerry does not make mistakes.

A quick glance at his a game logs and I don't see a single game that could fit the scenario described here. Almost every single loss he had even the smallest stat line in was by multiple scores.
