I always thought he was doomed when on Hard Knocks he simply made sure to get rid of any players that questioned him. They weren't questioning his authority, but merely going to the coach and telling them that since he's new to the team, that it was some little things that the players could handle themselves. Philbin would either cut the player right there or agree with the player and then cut him down the road.
I think the Incognito matters didn't help much. What was stunning was how all of the rest of the players stood up for Incognito and not Martin because it was readily apparent that the coaching staff asked Incognito to act the way he did to Martin to 'toughen him up.' Then when things went down, Philbin played the babe in the woods routine and I can't imagine that endeared himself to the players.
Plus, Suh does not fit a 3-4.
Good to see Campbell get his opportunity. I always liked the guy.
