My goodness, what's not to like about this guy, tackling machine, 10 forced fumbles, 10 career interceptions last 5 years ( kinda reminds ya of Sean Lee a bit ). I know everyone has their eyes on Wagner but this kid is pretty darn good too and may only cost half of what Wagner's asking

Steelers released LB Joe Schobert.
Schobert came over from the Jaguars in a small stakes training camp trade for a sixth-round pick and offered durability with 921 defensive snaps last year. After getting Myles Jack in free agency -- Jacksonville's other inside linebacker from 2020 -- Schobert was expendable for Pittsburgh. Schobert led the NFL in tackles in 2017 and should be on the radar for several teams looking for an adequate middle linebacker.

Release Schobert, sign Myles Jack.
I am curious to see how much Dallas really tried to sign Jack, if at all. Could just been media talking. Jack seemed to agree with the Steelers pretty quick. Tells me they had the biggest offer and did they over pay then?

I remember watching some of the Steelers games, and thought Schubert was decent. Maybe over shadowed by the names on the defense like Watts.
Interesting though, could be a good signing if Dallas is interested.

20 turnovers over 5 years is not bad.....at all. The only thing that gives makes me pause is what Pitt didn't like enough after only 1 year

Probably one of the Anthony's Barr or Hitchens and draft one or two

Curious what's up with him. Tackling machine in Cleveland, gets overpaid to go to Duval, Meyer trades him and then Pitt dumps him in a years time.

Think it would be better to role the dice on him than LVE

Exactly......but you would think with those stats/numbers he'd be a fixture on some team roster.

He should be in the conversation as well

Per team management he was never completely comfortable in the scheme and it freed up 7.8 million in cap space!

Why not both Wagner and this guy?
We need 2 linebackers

Too expensive, Google 'Bargain Bin NFL Free Agents' and go off of that list

If you want a true 'like for like' replacement of LVE then you have to go with Benny Hill.
