Joe Theisman On ESPN Radio: Cowboys Won't Make The Playoffs

Atlanta is loose as a goose, nothing to lose - is that good or bad?
You could also argue that they have nothing to gain. I guess you could say "Pride" maybe but anybody who has watched Atlanta consistently throughout this season knows that they've never had much of that to begin with.

I honestly believe that we have a better chance with Philthy than we do with Atlanta and that sucks......a lot.

What is the line for the Atlanta-Carolina game?

I see that game as a tossup since it is in Atlanta.

Carolina has all the pressure - will they play well under it or fold.

Atlanta is loose as a goose, nothing to lose - is that good or bad?

Commanders should beat Philly - if they don't it will make the whooping the Cowboys took from them dissapear in my book because all the Skins fans will just shut up and go home with their tail between their legs!! If we win of Course :

I don't think it is far fetched to think the skins could lose in Philly. If the game was in Washington I think it would be more of a sure thing but on the road no I don't think it is a sure thing for the skins

I have a feeling that skins' WILL lose. I think Carolina will win tho'... Lets hope for the BEST!

DeAngelo Hall is out of the Falcons/Panthers game.

That doesn't bode well for Atlanta or the Cowboys. :(

Have you seen Philly's offense?

I will enjoy listening to Joe Theisman announcing the Sunday night game when the Cowboys win and go to the playoffs.

I never did like Lawrence Taylor, but he did do to Theisman what thousands (possibly millions) would pay good money to do....

Honestly, what analyst has actually PICKED us to get into the playoffs at this point? I'm sure they are out there but the majority of analysts have said we are not getting in. You can't really fault Theisman for his take on this issue.

I was going to say the same thing. Is he misinformed? Nope.

I don't care if he roots for us to lose. That isn't the case here, he's just relaying the facts.

Yes sir.

In this case, I think Joe is onto something.

Just heard Joe Theisman on ESPN radio (Dan Patrick show). When asked about the NFC he picked the Cowboys to not make the playoffs. Says they are the only team that does not control their own destiny and that makes it very hard to get there. He said at least the Cowboys will know before kickoff if they are playing for anything.

Said the ESPN crew is getting ready to host the game on ESPN Sunday night and that it will be a good game.

That is Joe's 2 cents…..

hey joe....how's your leg, ***@#$##?

Yeah, but that doesn't change the cold hard facts that he's still a former Foreskin and a schmuck. :D

I wish this was just mathematics. LOL. There are four possible outcomes to the two games we need hep with. The outcomes are:

Carolina Wins/Washington Wins - We are out
Carolina Loss/Washington Wins - We are IN
Carolina Wins/Washington Loss -We are in
Carolina Loss/Washinton Loss - We are in

If this were like flipping a coin we would have a 75% chance of getting into the playoffs.

I think the Carolina/Atlanta game is a 50/50 proposition.

I think the Washington /Philly is more like 60/40 in favor of Washinton.

The good news is it is hard for a team like Washington that has had no margin for error for so long to keep up the emotional high they have been on. If Ramsey starts I think its back to a 50/50 propostition again.

It depends on if Philly comes out and plays the game of the year. It's a divisional rivalry game, and that pretty much means that nothing counts anymore. That's the one thing that I think bodes well for us, both the teams we need to lose are playing on the road at a divisional opponent

I never maintained he was an idol to be worshipped. In this case he is exactly correct. I wish he wasn't, but we gave away too many games late. That tends to bite right where the sun doesn't shine enough.

he also picked the Commanders to represent the NFC in the SuperBowl this season.

Yeah, I actually agree with "Bum Leg" this time. We need help from Atlanta or Philadelphia, putting us at a disadvantage.

Carolina will be @Atlanta, and Philly will be no push-over regardless. I see our chances kinda slim too, but there's also a very good chance, one of these teams will win.

At least we're not KC-they need Detroit to beat Pitt IN Pitt to get into the playoffs. :D
